Very excited to be teaching 'A Streetcar Named Desire' and 'If Beale Street Could Talk' to my A Level students this term! It's my 1st time though, so if any of my academic teacher friends have any tips or tricks or resources they are happy to share I would greatly appreciate it!

I have written a response to ACC and want to show it to my KS4 classes. Please could someone give some feedback on it? It would be great for my own subject knowledge ✨ @Team_English1 @MrTs_NQTs @LitdriveUK

For this next exam series for @Team_English1 I've created a series of mini mini (!) mocks (A5 size!) for a range of skills which I plan to target with my students. These include FIFTEEN P2Q4, P1Q2 linked to a P1Q5, and a P2Q2 linked to a P2Q5. To download for free, visit (1/4)

Lovely English Edutwitter - please hit me with your top motifs for A Christmas Carol and any great ‘hidden’ moments they are seen e.g. chains also at old Joe’s in Stave 4. So far got chains, time, light/dark, temperature, music… Any resources also gratefully received!

On this eve of Hallowe’en, what’s your favourite creepy or spooky short story? Not a novella, just short fiction please. 😊

@EdmJbg @MrsLouisaHarris 2/2 Obviously horrendous for the individual involved but hardly grounds for condemning an entire schools ability to look after children. It is also not related to the OPs lovely gesture to her child's school's hard working teachers.

@EdmJbg @MrsLouisaHarris 1/2 A huge part of OFSTED inspections is about child safety and well-being. Ofsted cannot be everywhere at once micromanaging schools. The incident that you shared is a rare occurrence being reported in a salacious tabloid.

@anna_spanner13 @OveryGibson This sounds remarkably like my own experience! I had to do a double that I hadn't already responded to the original tweet!

@OveryGibson I had no idea what I wanted so dropped out of school at 16, worked for a few years, figured out a lot of things I didn’t want to do before going back to college at 20. I’m now a teacher, with a shed load of experience and passion to do something I actually want to. Don’t panic!

Good evening! Here's a doc you can help yourself to of some reading activities you can do around a text that don't just involve asking a question and getting an answer, per se. It's free, of course. docs.google.com/document/d/14s…

Are quotes important? Yes. But the AO1 says "use textual references, including quotations". So let's think about QUOTES and REFERENCES. 1/
