Let’s review: Giuffre files a suit alleging Epstein trafficked her to Dershowitz seven times, including graphic descriptions. Dershowitz denies it and calls her a “total liar” and “extortionist,” after which she sues him again, for defamation. He countersues and produces travel records showing her claims can’t be true. They have a global settlement in which everyone agrees to drop their cases and say it was all just a big “mistake.” So yes, Dershowitz said the “extortionist” accusation made after being falsely accused of rape was a “mistake.” The bar didn’t exactly rush to punish him after that one. You’re obviously welcome to think those things are equivalent.
