My sister agreed to carry a surrogate pregnancy but the couple did not come for their baby after birth. She tried to contact them by all possible means but couldn't reach them so she raised the child as her own alongside her 3 other children. So 11 years later,last week the couple,out of nowhere appears at her home demanding for their kid.Turns out 4 months into the my sister's surrogate pregnancy,the wife of that guy also got pregnant and she infact gave birth to twins and they decided to cut ties with my sister. 10 years later, that's early last year there was a fire outbreak at their home and unfortunately their twins were burnt to death. Since then they've been trying to get pregnant again but they couldn't( the wife has hit menopause) and now they decide to come for their child. My sister is hearing none of it, shes moving to court tomorrow

@Jingerella66 Age in and of itself does not entitle anyone to free delivery. It is for the most vulnerable people, for example end of life or people who are housebound. If your mother was able to go into Boots to ask the question, she clearly isn’t housebound. Check the criteria again?

I think my 91 year old mother has just been conned out of £55 by Boots. She went in to enquire about Boots Pharmacy dealing with her prescription straight from the doctor's surgery, as someone in Morrisons (who deal with her prescriptions since the drs changed pharmacy) told her Morrisons don't deliver. Apparently, Morrisons can deliver prescriptions for everyone at my mother's assisted living complex, but not her. There is something wrong here. A member of Boot's staff told her they don't deliver NHS prescriptions for free, and made her pay £55 for an' annual pass'. This is nonsense. She's elderly and vulnerable. I will be on their tail tomorrow. A full refund had better be forthcoming pronto.

@autcareandshare People can take you by surprise. Swimming with a man with autism I supported, a pool we hadn’t been to before, the showers by the side. So when I said time for a shower, I completely overlooked he would strip off there and then. Because that’s what you do for a shower. 🤷‍♂️

Someone asked me what Ryan was like when he was younger, I remember taking Ryan to soft play ball pits slides etc, he was around 4 so not long after he was diagnosed autistic and not long after we were homeless together, we've gone in Ryan's ran up the stairs ive gone to order drinks, im stood waiting and this guy stands by me and says id hate to the parent of that kid upstairs whys that I ask no idea what or who hes talking about, theres a kid up there jumping from table to table stopping on each table then drinking the drinks on the table, I run upstairs and there is Ryan sat on the edge of a table drinking a large glass of blackcurrant squash, next time I went i had drinks ready in the bag, I went as soon as it opened so that it was quieter, we dont learn to be parents on the first day , Ryan's almost 30 and im still learning, I still take drinks and snacks with me wherever we go, because just taking your eye off Ryan for a second means he could be running around jumping off tables or running through a public swimming baths completely naked and then having a pee off the top of a slide, ( yeah he did that too he was 4 maybe 5) and before I get the why didn't you do this or that replies, because im human i made mistakes i was running on 2 hours sleep a night back then, and im still making mistakes, hopefully not as many.

#DogWalkers & #Runners We just had an unpleasant experience, a runner came from behind us, we didn't hear him & he ran by super close, I had to move over on the path & Hartley lurched at him 😢 Runner obviously startled & upset/angry I apologised. He ran off, kept looking back..

I'm confused. My home fuel supplier says my electricity meter needs to be changed to a smart meter because itz certifucate has run out. The meter was only replaced less than 20 years ago. I have refused a Smart meter in my home. My gas meter has not been changed in 27 years. Huh?

@Elainebks @FHawksworth @HeldinEU If you’re current meter has passed the end of it certification period, then yes the provider can insist on a new meter and it is very likely to be a smart meter because the old ones unavailable anymore but you can ask for it to be put in dumb mode.

@FHawksworth @HeldinEU We still have ours which is donkey’s years old. Smart meter might for us in due course. They a very small and sit on your work top so much less bulky than old style. But you aren’t compelled to have one.

Just rang the home - Dad went off on one even worse yesterday, grabbed a female resident and tried to take her phone of her. Her family is very upset, I have agreed to moving him to the side building, where he has complete free access to the garden, in the hope he calms down and doesn't feel so traped
