Michael nails it: Say good bye to full employment... how many more people will be unemployed when these draconian interest rate settings end?
Michael Pascoe@MichaelPascoe01

#RBA's SMP:"The share of firms now reporting plans to keep headcount stable in the year ahead is well above its long-run average, and the share of firms expecting lower headcount has lifted" I'd bet RBA is too optimistic about unemployment michaelwest.com.au/rba-raises-rat…

This rotten disgusting excuse for a govt needs to be removed in November and all its Labor MPs who knowing what’s happening have sat quietly collecting their parliamentary pay should be condemned and remembered forever. ’ theaustralian.com.au/inquirer/melbo… via @australian

Why are some Australians so fucking stupid that they would give their vote to One Nation, the party of racism, founded by a racist, financed by racists, with plenty of money? WHY are these people so vile and evil that they could damage Australia beyond repair, then what? 🤔ffs.

@BoredElonMusk It makes no difference. I saw these in Athens, Greece, and the minimum wage there for kids working would be a under a couple of euros an hour.Once big corp figures it out, people will be replaced. Well, that's my theory..

Why are people so angry about where I choose to live? It's truly weird. I spoke about it in a podcast 6 months ago & not again until earlier this week. Yet nutters like Tom are so triggered.

@TheKouk Maybe just maybe if we had developed all those oil reserves like Norway did, we would have money for hospitals, I don't know maybe better education outcomes and maybe just maybe better roads and EV infrastructure for all those new electric cars everyone wants.

This is wrongly framed. Australia has 20 million plus sovereign wealth funds - each individual's superannuation. Now $4.5 trillion and growing like the clappers & will not run out, as Norway's will when they sell the last off their oil. Oil output is already falling in Norway
Scott Phillips@TMFScottP

Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund was established in 1990. Here's a list of Australian PMs since then who frittered away our natural resources by not charging enough, and who didn't put any of the proceeds aside: Hawke Keating Howard Rudd Gillard Abbott Turnbull Morrison Albanese

Iran formalizes Strait toll: $1/barrel, payable in yuan or stablecoins. ~$2M per VLCC. Screening for US/Israel nexus. "Friendly" nations get better rates . Payment = passcode + Iranian naval escort through approved corridor . Legal? Experts say "not legitimate." Profitable? Up to $120B/year if fully implemented . The Strait is now a toll road—with a yuan-priced lane. ⚓

It's happening again: Those who demand smaller govt & wish for the 'govt to get out of my life' are now screaming loudest that the govt should do something about petrol. Hypocrisy in extremis

Not one migrant family I know and I know hundreds, lived in any government housing when they arrived or in the years after they arrived. They fended for themselves.
Mimama 🐕🐝🦋🦉@BConn39

@tonytardio Back when migrants arrived the Federal gov had embarked on the biggest social housing build in history, after World War 2. They built thousands of Housing Commission homes for families. That’s what the difference is. There was work and plenty of it. There was housing.

It’s not called “Greek Malibu” (even the phrase “Athens Riviera” is a recent marketing ploy by real estate agents) and we have way too many Golden Visa trophy buyers at the moment who add very little to the local economy while shooting up house prices. No more of this please.
Tim@TimurNegru

If you are interested in Greece and are after their Golden Visa here is a direct from owner property located in Lagonisi, a coastal neighbourhood on the Athens Riviera also called the Greek Malibu. The property is 800 meters from the Saronic Gulf, 20 minutes from Athens International Airport, and 45 minutes from central Athens. 5 Beds, 3 Baths, 264 m². The private pool is Olympic depth which is unusual for private residences. €750k ($877k)
