@RussNour @LalimesMartian I know you're a sens fan so thinking is really hard, but the wings' collapse is not on the D and purely 3/4 of our centers being hurt at once, and the bottom 6 not scoring. Not that anyone would expect you to look into it further than a little gotcha tweet. Quiet down lil pup.

I'm sure the good people of Detroit, Michigan, don't want to hear this. But I just did a deep dive into the Red Wings D-Corps, and I can say with the utmost confidence that they are going absolutely nowhere with that group on the back end. Getting Gibson won't help.

@JimCosta_ We aren't a playoff team yet. You don't move off a core piece when the surrounding team is what needs work. They need to add, not remove. What hole do you fill by moving any of these players? The leafs need a shake up, the wings need to add more players to get into that position.

@313Hockey No doubt a solid season. There's still a lot of questions on translatability especially given his size but there's definitely potential for a solid middle 6 scoring winger.

you look at the prospect pool, it's ranked 4th by the athletic, let's gooo. except the top two prospects are goalies, the top skater is an undersized D who got shellacked this year, and the next three guys project as good third liners.

@tmatthewshockey @GrindLinePod I think offer sheeting Dorofeyev would be my ideal option, but if Tuch makes it to FA, or Robertson is put up for a trade, I'm all in on those, with Mantha being the last option. I think MBN just needs the off-season to get stronger and Kasper needs to reset and come back better

@mjohnson998 @GrindLinePod It's a start. I wouldn't mind seeing Kasper and MBN on the same line. That could be a lethal duo there. The LW2 is where Yzerman can make the trade and bring in a proven talent.

@GrindLinePod So making our first line be useful at 5v5, and bolstering our 3rd line with Kane and maybe Copp doesn't balance out the team? This absolutely does get us further. Larks has 6 5v5 points in his last ~35 games. They need another weapon, which would free up the 2nd and 3rd lines

Toss in Shine/Appleton/Ras wherever in the bottom 6 depending on who gets moved but this is my general idea. It's high time to deploy our prospects more aggressively to see what we have.

I need to write it down and think visually, but if I were to put Finnie onto the third line and bottom-six, that's an open spot. Then maybe Danielson takes over the 2C role, with Copp going to the 4C.

@GrindLinePod Nah, he's a viable 2LW for 2-3 years till a prospect takes over. Beggars can't be choosers, he can score and is great defensively. A Mantha-Kasper-MBN line could be very solid. And we need Cat on line 1, larkin and Raymond NEED help.

@LGRWProspects @ZackTrathenHTRD I know it's not realistic but part of me does want to see him in the NHL in the LW1 spot just to see how he does. A lot of other teams in the rebuilds are tossing players in when they may not be 100% ready, I wouldn't hate to see him be presented with the challenge.

Would love to see Max sign, but like these guys said, if he isn’t playing in the top 6 for Detroit, there’s no point in signing.
Plante isn’t the type of player to chase after guys and forechecking on the bottom 6.
You also look at the Griffins potential roster next season, and it has a pretty solid top 6 even if Plante doesn’t sign.
So I’m guessing he goes back to college.
