My point is the "GOP" candidate on the ballot has been elected for 42 of the past 48 years, and Massie has run as the "GOP" candidate. There isn't anything particularly iconoclastic about the district in the context of the GOP -- which is what Massie's fan bois all claim, i.e., the district has a unique bond with Massie and his libertarianism. It's simply not true.

If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it. The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it. End this war. It’s stupid.

@drterrysimpson I could care less what a doc's score was on a test. I look at where they went to med school (no foreign or off shore schools,) how long they've practiced and patient reviews. All the "literature" is likely written to justify your own position, so no, I'm not going to read it.

So define that? WIll you ask your doctor what they got on an MCAT or their undergraduate GPA? Will you choose your surgeon based on empathy? Do you have some objective criteria? Will you assume if you have a black physcian they must be DEI? So before you call something horse hockey you should read the literature - because trust me, we want good doctors. Selected literature for those pretending this evidence does not exist: MCAT predictive validity: • Donnon et al. Acad Med. 2007 PMID: 17198300 () • Callahan et al. Acad Med. 2010 PMID: 20068426 () • Saguil et al. Mil Med. 2015 • Hanson et al. Acad Med. 2022 • Harvey et al. JNMA. 2025 Structural bias & admissions: • Lucey & Saguil. Acad Med. 2020 • Faiz et al. JAMA Health Forum. 2023 • Davis et al. Acad Med. 2013 • Nakae & Subica. JNMA. 2021 Physician diversity & outcomes: • Snyder et al. JAMA Netw Open. 2023 • Hill et al. J Health Econ. 2023 • Xu et al. AJPH. 1997 • Vichare et al. Ann Fam Med. 2024 Medical school diversity outcomes: • Saha et al. JAMA. 2008 • Morris et al. NEJM. 2021 • Ly et al. Ann Intern Med. 2022 • Florescu et al. JAMA Netw Open. 2025 The data is not hidden. Some people simply prefer outrage to reading.

I disagree with the Department of Justice going after Yale School of Medicine over DEI admissions policies and arguing that objective metrics like GPA and MCAT scores should dominate admissions decisions. The evidence does not support the idea that standardized test scores alone identify the best physicians. The MCAT predicts performance on other multiple-choice exams reasonably well. What MCAT scores do NOT predict are clinical judgment, communication, bedside skill, or physician performance. Put another way: doctors who test well tend to do well on examinations. But test scores do not predict how well they care for patients in clinics, hospitals, surgery, or real-world medicine. Meanwhile, more diverse physician workforces are associated with better preventive care, greater trust, improved access, and lower mortality in underserved communities. There is no objective evidence that excluding minority applicants within a reasonable score range improves patient outcomes. We need minority physicians in this country, and we have the data to prove why. So when people insist that “objective measures” alone should determine admission into medicine — while ignoring the evidence about what actually improves patient care — I increasingly see that argument as less about merit and more about preserving exclusion under the comforting language of statistics. "Equality feels like oppression to those who are privileged"

I read everywhere about the 'hard right' This the term used to describe people who are Islamosceptic - that is, people who are doubtful about the merits of a religion that demands child marriage, the beating of women, and death to all who oppose it Perhaps 'sensible right' would be a better description

A thought on Cassidy’s defeat.  Donald Trump’s philosophy of practicing politics is simple: “If you hit me, I’ll hit you back 10 times harder.”  This is his way of imposing discipline so he can get things done.  Many Republicans mistake this for childish petulance.  The ironic thing is that when these oh-so-high-minded Republicans (Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Thom Tillis, etc.) get their comeuppance, they are the ones who react with truly childish petulance.  They are the ones willing to frustrate the advancement of the conservative agenda that they once claimed to support, simply because they didn’t get their way.  For all his supposed faults, Trump constantly tries to advance the agenda he has been pushing since before he was elected.  His Republican detractors, not so much.

@musketeers4elon @nettermike @ChadBianco Bianco doesn't have a chance. Anyone with a brain isn't going to vote for a kneeling, illegal alien loving idiot. You clearly haven't a clue and should probably sit this election out.
