we witnessed another "iq test" from the x tech community those buying a "mac mini" to run a clawdbot didn't even think for 2 minutes they could run this program on a vps for less than $30 per month

@binarybits To me it’s confusing because the front desk is usually on the way out. So it doesn’t take more than 10 seconds to stop and say your room number.

@Yuchenj_UW If AI can do all of those things better than humans and it’s still not AGI, what is the concrete test that we should use to determine AGI? Saying “it’s not AGI” but providing no concrete test is not helpful. It just shows fear of being wrong.

@JenSainty You should send emails when it’s convenient for you. The other person should respond when it’s convenient for them. Trying to read people’s mind is a waste of time.

I don’t get the whole argument about needing to schedule emails at certain times; why can’t I send a work email at whatever hour I’m working at? Isn’t it immediately apparent to the receiver that they should ofc only address it whenever they choose to work/during working hours?

@StoicTA This is not true. You can go to thousands of shops around the US that will pay 3-4% under spot. Just call local shops and ask, not that hard.

I'm sitting on 1,000 ounces of silver bars bought physical, did what everyone says to do "Real assets" "Outside the system" "When everything collapses you'll be glad you have it" tried to sell some last week, trying to sell it today refineries won't touch it dealers lowballing 30% under spot banks look at me like I'm selling contraband turns out "owning" something and being able to "exit" something are two very different skills this is the same trap I see in trading people hold positions they can't exit stocks with no volume options with no buyers sitting on "value" that only exists on paper supply & demand lesson learned

@ZaidJilani We will see how it plays out. There’s a portion of the population that would rather pay $8k one time than a $99 / mo subscription even though it doesn’t make financial sense. People have an intense hatred towards subscriptions, even if they are cheaper than the alternative.

To summarize: - Elon announces you can no longer buy self driving outright. Only as a subscription. - Then he removes free Autopilot from Teslas. No lane centering-cruise control. Basic feature in cars. - If you want that pay him $99 a month You’ll own nothing and be happy

This is insane Assuming each trade is a coin-flip with 50% chance to win, the odds of winning 16x in a row is 0.001526% 🤯 If you copy traded this trader with @PolyGun_ with just $12, you would now have $104,000!
PredictFolio@PredictFolio

$12 → $104,000 on Polymarket trading Bitcoin in just 16 trades! Trader “ascetic0x” doubled his money 16 times in a row by betting on the Bitcoin price. Account: @ascetic0x" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">predictfolio.com/@ascetic0x

There's gotta be a fun attack where you buy into an unlikely trade to look like an insider, wait for trading bots copy your trade at an increased price, then dump for a profit
Didi@DidiTrading

Day 399: We spotted the Maduro attack before it happened. My brother @spacexbt, built a tool that tracks potential insider activity on Polymarket. Last night, the tracker flagged five separate alerts hours before the event happened. Based on that signal, he was able to buy at 7.5c, long before the market reacted. You don’t need to predict the future, you need to track suspicious behavior. (Fresh wallets, unusual sizing, repeated entries in niche markets) e.g this insider turned $35k into $442k: @0x31a56e9E690c621eD21De08Cb559e9524Cdb8eD9-1766730765984?via=didi" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">polymarket.com/@0x31a56e9E690… Polymarket API keys are open to everyone. With today’s AI coding tools, there’s zero excuse not to build something similar yourself.

My @Polymarket bot is still running on my Raspberry Pi. 2 days ago: 26 trades triggered, 26 wins, 0 losses Now: 42 trades triggered, 42 wins, 0 losses I could change the parameters to increase the number of triggered orders, but that would make it less conservative. At these settings, I believe the bot can never lose, and each trigger guarantees ~1.5%. I could aim for more, but that would mean taking more risk. I prefer a guaranteed 1.5% per trade rather than higher returns with any chance of loss. I’ll keep the bot running until it reaches 200 triggered orders before scaling it with much more capital. In the meantime, I’m building an analysis tool for Polymarket, not a trading bot this time, but an analytics tool that doesn’t exist yet and could be very useful. Will keep you posted!

I'm surprised that so many people, including smart people and journos, fell for the fake viral DoorDash outrage post. So many signs it was implausible and/or AI-generated: • Library wifi? Do you guys know any software engineers who use "library wifi" for opsec reasons? • "Drunk and angry" but perfect spelling and punctuation, short, punchy sentences. • Plenty of em-dashes with no spaces on either side (we will soon lose this obvious tell btw, so enjoy the training wheels while you can) • "we purposefully delayed non-priority orders by 5 or 10 minutes" if you believe any real company in the insanely competitive food delivery space would do this you have no idea how anything works. Let alone "management loved the results" (it didn't hurt any of your KPIs? Really?) • "under a massive NDA" "I hope they sue me" lol • Way too many details that add up to perfect outrage-bait -- "desperation score" (no corporation would actually call it that, they'd use a euphemism); "human assets" (I'm pretty sure they just call them dashers or couriers); •"We generated millions in pure profit" engineers in bigcos do not talk this way. Plenty of other implausible details in there too. Everyone will need to upgrade their personal cogsec for the next few years.

Holy fucking shit is right! This is not DoorDash, and I would fire anyone who promoted or tolerated the kind of culture described in this Reddit post. There’s so much wrong with this post. - Dashers are not “human assets.” - Having a metric like a "Desperation Score” is an abomination. - We’ve never had a “Driver Benefit Fee”. - Why would you charge for faster delivery but not make it faster?? We’re not perfect by *any* stretch of the imagination, but we work every day to make our platform better for everyone who comes to it. What’s described here is appalling, and if true, whoever is operating in this manner should be ashamed.
