The fact that your first instinct after reading about a woman being beaten, thrown out of her own home and having a nervous breakdown is to mock her politics rather than feel any human empathy says everything about you and nothing about her. You don't actually care what happened to her. You just needed a body to make your point with. That's not commentary. That's exploitation.

@mbolan67 @saniyafatma1278 I start with the garlic in olive oil and salt let it cook a bit, but do not slice it since it is to be removed afterwards. Add 🍅 a bit of sugar on to remove acidity. Add a bit of butter. Cook on a low flame 30 min. No herbs. Basil added at the end ripped in large pieces.

Well, I didn't want to complicate things. For a beginner, just the basics was what I was going for. Removing the skins is definitely an option, and quite easy to do. I also never refrigerate my tomatoes. Just let them sit in the windowsill until they are the ripeness you like.

@mbolan67 @saniyafatma1278 it is difficult to find fresh tomatoes with the good ripeness during all the year but when you use fresh tomatoes you do not blend them because you are supposed to peel the tomatoes

@mkwsny @saniyafatma1278 True....but not all canned tomatoes are the same. Garbage in, garbage out. Start with the highest quality ingredients you can find, and fresh is best....my cooking mantra.

You can’t call the bank and say: “I’d like to borrow $240,000 to invest in the S&P 500.” They’ll laugh at you. Ask for $240,000 to buy a rental property and they’ll hand it to you. The bank has been telling you which asset they trust more for 100 years.

@DrewPavlou you have no idea how much money NGO females leaders earn

In New Zealand leftists tried to introduce pay equity claims before the courts arguing that female community NGO workers should be paid the exact same as male detectives, male engineers and male air traffic controllers The government was forced to introduce emergency legislation drafted in secrecy and pass the emergency legislation in under 24 hours with no public consultation in order to end the deluge of insane pay equity claims that threatened to bankrupt the state
max tempers@maxtempers

This opened the floodgates to a flurry of equal pay claims using increasingly absurd workforce comparators to determine discrimination. (Female) social workers were compared to (male) detectives and air traffic controllers. (Female) admin staff to (male) mechanical engineers!

If you think your car is expensive to service, consider this. If you own a Bugatti Veyron: An oil change typically costs between $20,000 and $30,000, primarily due to extensive labor (over 25 hours) and specialized parts required for the service. It requires removing multiple body panels, to access 16 drain plugs. Tires: $8,000 - $42,000+ per set of four. Wheels: $50,000 per set (recommended every 10,000 miles). Brakes: $118,000 for front brake discs, pads, and calipers. In conclusion. Over four years, maintenance, including tires, fluids, and specialized parts, can exceed $400,000 to $500,000 Crazy, isn't it?

Spirit Airlines only needed $500 million to survive. We’ve already spent $25 billion on the Iran War. Which one directly improves American lives more? A low-cost carrier staying in the market or another war in the Middle East?

“Is Africa poor because of colonialism?”  Not at all. In Senegal, if I want to hire someone, a government official who has never run a business in his life gets to decide if we're allowed to work together.  And people wonder why we're poor. (with @triggerpod)

@ZackStrength It’s crony capitalism. The Big 4 airlines didn’t want JetBlue to acquire them because they would’ve been a much bigger competitor. They wanted Spirit to go bankrupt. @SenWarren was happy to help force the bankruptcy. This is bad for the common man.

Your town starts with a simple 2% property tax to fund basic services. Year 3: Revenue shortfall hits. Infrastructure "desperately needs" upgrades. Property tax jumps to 3.5%. City council promises this covers everything. Year 5: School district claims crisis funding needs. Separate education tax appears; just 1.5% for the children, they say. Your total tax load now sits at 5%. Year 8: Environmental impact assessments become mandatory for all development. New environmental compliance tax of 0.8% gets tacked on. Plus a transportation improvement fee of 1.2% because the roads can't handle the delayed projects. Year 12: Housing affordability crisis emerges (funny how that works). City creates affordable housing trust fund requiring another 1% tax. Storm water management fees add 0.5%. Total burden now exceeds 8.5%. Year 15: Local businesses start fleeing to neighboring counties. Commercial tax base shrinks. Residential property owners must make up the difference. Rates jump across all categories. Your effective rate hits 11%. The city's books show every tax paying for its designated purpose. The infrastructure still crumbles. Schools still claim poverty. Housing costs skyrocketed beyond what any middle-class family can afford. You started with one modest tax for basic municipal services. A complex web of overlapping levies now funds an army of bureaucrats managing the crisis created by the previous army of bureaucrats. Each department gets its budget. Each program gets its funding. Each tax collector gets their cut. The services you actually wanted remain broken, just more expensive.
