From the 29th until today, the 9th, only about one percent of the SIR work has been completed in Mumbai... I have requested the Election Commission to extend the deadline, as teachers (acting as BLOs) are unable to conduct door-to-door visits due to the rains and school commitments. Additionally, other government employees should be appointed as BLOs to carry out this task. People are facing great inconvenience because the SIR process is not progressing..."

The SIR exercise began on July 29, and it has now been around a week to ten days. During this period, only about one percent of the work has been completed. Teachers have been appointed as Booth Level Officers (BLOs). They are expected to attend school, teach students throughout the day, and only after school hours can they carry out SIR-related work..."
