Estimado Párroco de Apopa: Soy católico. Crecido y criado en una familia católica. Aunque muy cercano a los cristianos en general. Mi fe no depende de coyunturas, ni de cargos, ni de votos. Mi fe viene de Cristo, y ahí se queda. Por eso, le hablo con respeto… pero también con claridad. No puedo aceptar una maldición. Mucho menos hacia mi madre, ni hacia ninguna madre salvadoreña, incluyendo las de los pandilleros. Menos se la acepto para mis hijos. Cristo nunca maldijo a ninguna persona. A nadie. Lea la Biblia y verá que es cierto. Cristo corrigió, sí. Denunció, sí. Pero nunca maldijo. Si usted considera que tiene más poder que Cristo, entonces siga maldiciéndonos. Y si vamos a hablar desde el Evangelio, hablemos con hechos. Durante años, quienes más sufrían en El Salvador eran los pobres. Los humildes. Los que vivían en colonias, en comunidades, en barrios. Los que no tenían seguridad privada. Los que no podían huir. Los que pagaban extorsión o enterraban a sus hijos. Ahí estaban las víctimas. Gente como la de Apopa. Y hoy, por primera vez en décadas, ese pueblo —al que la Iglesia llama “opción preferencial”— está viviendo sin miedo. De verdad cree usted que defender a ese pueblo es motivo de maldición? Yo también creo en el ejemplo de los mártires. Creo en San Óscar Arnulfo Romero Creo en el Beato Rutilio Grande. Ellos denunciaron la injusticia. Ellos alzaron la voz por los pobres. Por cierto, mi educación con orgullo es 100% jesuita. Y por eso mismo, estoy convencido de algo: ellos jamás habrían guardado silencio ante quienes asesinaban, violaban, extorsionaban y oprimían al pueblo. Y esos no somos lo diputados de Nuevas Ideas, esos eran los pandilleros. ¿Nos habrían hecho críticas? Seguramente sí. Porque nadie es perfecto. Pero también estoy seguro de que estarían del lado de las víctimas, no del lado del miedo, del terror, de las armas, ni de la violencia. Padre, yo no le respondo con odio. Le respondo con fe. No acepto su maldición. Pero sí le ofrezco ponerlo en oración para que el odio que tiene en sus prédicas no manche a nuestra Santa Madre Iglesia Católica. Y también le hago una invitación sincera: Salga a hablar con las familias que enterraron a sus hijos. Escuche a las madres que lloraron a los desaparecidos. Consuele a las mujeres y los niños que fueron violados. Acompañe a quienes vivieron años bajo la extorsión y el terror. Ore por ellos. Ore por el alma de las víctimas. Ore por quienes ya no están. Porque ahí —en ese dolor— también está Cristo. Y es ahí donde la Iglesia de Jesucristo debe estar siempre.

Can someone explain the logic here? Randy Orton pinned Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber to earn a shot at the WWE Championship. But Cody, the guy who got pinned, ended up getting a title match before Orton. Now Cody is walking into WrestleMania as champion. In other words: Orton beats Cody to earn a title shot. But Cody gets a title shot first and wins. Am I missing something here… or does this make absolutely no sense?
