I made this to comment on a podcast few listen to and I guess now to watch a modern war unfold in real time on tik tok?

Sergio Gor, born in Soviet Uzbekistan, is now in charge of Central Asia for Trump. Weird that a guy who lied about even being from the USSR is now in charge of America's next steps in one of the most important regions for Russia. politico.com/news/2026/05/1…

When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit. Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero. We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people. We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing. Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run. That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

@RozeRage @EssensGG @NYCMayor I guess you missed the part where they saved almost 2 billion dollars by reviewing their current spending habits and cutting waste and inefficiencies where they could find them. Ya'll really have some selective hearing/reading, you may want to get that checked out.

I see you conveniently ignored the part where I said taxing the rich, because you know that plan is incredibly shortsighted and more taxes never leads to more prosperity. They aren’t rooting out waste, fraud or abuse of taxpayer dollars, they’re simply asking for more tax dollars so they can continue to mismanage them. Every single hard-working taxpayer should be completely sick of this shit.

Just got off the phone with the owner of Atlantic Industrial Coatings, LLC, the firm awarded a $6.9 million no-bid contract for the reflecting pool. When asked to confirm whether Mid-America Industrial Coatings had been brought on as a subcontractor, he became evasive and shut down the conversation, stating "That's none of your business". There are a lot of things off about this project.

@MichaelAArouet @Shammy_Research Europeans meanwhile have much better benefits and more generous time off allowances than their American counterparts. Work doesn't consume their lives and suck the joy out of things in life. Plus they don't worry about an accident or sickness ruining their finances overnight.

@MichaelAArouet @Shammy_Research Also literally a few minutes of research will tell you that In and Out is an outlier in the US for employee compensation. Their business model centers worker retention through higher pay. Most fast food restaurant managers are making more like 50-70k a years, including overtime.

This is eye-opening. A fast food job in the US pays significantly more than AI developer jobs in France or Germany, which have higher salaries than most other European countries. Europeans simply don’t notice how poor they become compared to others. Choices have consequences.

@ukraine_map All of these "proxies" have their own interests and capabilities separate from the Russians, who really haven't had much time or resources to spread around since their full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

@ukraine_map Taking Russia out of the equation would not change the way these governments are. Cuba isn't even really a factor and could have been eliminated as an issue through normalization of relations. Iran was already an adversary long before the Russians got more involved in the 2010s.

That’s why Russia itself should be stopped first. Instead of wasting time, money, and weapons trying to stop every Russian proxy, while Russia can continue arming more proxies Russia itself needs to be stopped; that would deal with Iran, Yemen, Venezuela, Cuba, and others

🚨 According to The Economist, citing a Russian document, Russia is considering supplying Iran with thousands of fiber-optic FPV drones along with training for their use against American forces.

I just want to personally thank Mayor Zohran Mamdani for scaring away the billionaire class from NYC and helping bring billions in tax revenue to my district of Brickell Miami, where Ken Griffin’s Citadel is building its massive Class A office tower next to my office and bringing thousands of high earning professionals to the area. The economic shift into Downtown Miami is truly transformative. Billions in new investments, new jobs, new infrastructure, and a growing tax base can help fund schools, transportation, and the modernization of Miami as it evolves into the new Wall Street of America. Keep the expats coming! @ZohranKMamdani #kengriffen #citadel #miami

@NJExecutive @longjohnshirley @ErrolRob17238 @HistoryBoomer Seems like the only clown here is the guy who supports the side that likes to routinely shoot kids with snipers. We rightly called shit like that genocide in Bosnia in the 90s and that was far more of a "war" than what has gone on in Gaza the past 2 and a half years.

@bruce_weingart @longjohnshirley @HistoryBoomer Israel is systematically bulldozing entire neighborhoods and villages throughout the areas of Gaza that they control. They're even doing it in Lebanon now. If your argument really rests on "look, Assad did the same/worse in Syria" I think you should take a step back and fuck off.

@longjohnshirley @HistoryBoomer Those pictures are from Aleppo, Syria, what Assad did to his own people. Not Gaza. And I agree. That was a genocide. Over 350,000 confirmed killed by the UN. Over 656,000 killed per the Syrian Observatory of Civil Rights.

@nycconservat @savinamericaa @DanielTurnerPTF @atensnut The only one coping here is you dude. The tariff shocks suffered last year and the global oil crisis we're sprinting to right now were both decisions explicitly made by Trump. Both having caused extreme economic instability and driving up costs of all kinds. stop being foolish.

@HughJazzFan7 @thedimitri If that was all people did with their wealth, it would be one thing, but many don't. They often use it to corrupt the institutions that are supposed to act as bulwarks against the excesses of the few in search of greater profits despite the wider social costs they inflict.

@mmccomb95 @thedimitri That wealth is just the value of companies that he built. He employ tens of thousands of people, create useful products, and pays millions in payroll taxes. Telling someone they shouldn’t be that successful just puts a cap on prosperity and progress for everyone.

@schulzb589 @cafreiman North Korea isn't even a socialist country anymore, according to North Korea itself. South Korea also isn't the paragon of free market capitalism everyone likes to hold it up as if you know anything about their history or how much direct influence the Chaebols in the government.

@cafreiman That chart is widely incorrect as the North Koreans are subsidized by trade with capitalists markets. Their true socialist capacity is far lower.

@schulzb589 @cafreiman So is South Korea, they import up to %50 percent of their food from elsewhere. By this metric, then most nations in the world are failed states whose people would starve to death if it weren't for others. It's a silly point to make on top of another silly point to make.
