Justin Trudeau is facing criticism for showing up to the FIFA World Cup game in the United States instead of watching Canada’s game.

Steven Guilbeault dedicated his many years of public service to protecting our environment, making our country more sustainable, and building a better Canada for future generations. As he worked to advance climate action and meaningful policy reform, he led every effort with conviction, integrity, and heart. Thank you, Steven, for your service, your friendship, and your unwavering commitment to Canadians.

@jec79 Not sure if the liberals fabricating a majority is considered democratic. Funny how they have an issue and bring up democracy when their actions are not in question. to be clear im not for separation.

🟥 Yesterday I was at Service Ontario renewing my health card. I went in, pulled a number to be served, and sat down on the rows of chairs to wait my turn. In front of me, to the right, were two women in their 60s, conversing. One was talking about Doug Ford and how terrible he was lately. After she had listed a litany of his shortcomings, her companion said, “Oh well, you know, Kath – it could be worse. We could have that Danielle Smith.” Kath replied, “Yes. Good Point.” And they laughed. They then started talking about a recipe – something about watermelon and Feta cheese? And shortly afterwards their number was called to be served. I smiled quietly to myself as I thought about their exchange. If the state of our political leadership is that we are RELIEVED to have a bad/corrupt Conservative Premier, because he is at least better than an even WORSE one from another Province, then the Conservative Parties across Canada need a change. 🤷🏻‍♂️ They need to look within themselves. Urgently! 😌 They’ve got to do better. It cannot be an acceptable standard for Conservative political leaders to be arrogant, self-serving miscreants. And don’t even get me started on the FEDERAL Conservatives! That guy lost elections; is polling at 20%; is unable to get security clearance; has no PLAN except to insult, misinform and obstruct progress; his MPs are miserable, with some abandoning him ... and he still won’t resign?? 😄🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm not sure that others appreciate just how much time our auxiliaries donate to bettering our community, and just how much support they provide to our police service. These are remarkable people doing amazing things every day, and meeting these dedicated volunteers to hand them their badges last night was a tremendous honour. Good luck and congratulations to our newest class of auxiliary constables!

@joe_warmington @steveryan Anybody is better than the people we currently have at every level. There are people who have been in power for 20+ years and accomplished nothing. Time for term limits as well. Any ineffective people should be gone.

🕯️ Heroes in life, not death. Sergeant Brandon Malcolm. Northumberland OPP. End of watch: April 27, 2026. A little-known fact about Brandon: long before he wore the OPP uniform, he started his policing career as a volunteer with the Toronto Police Auxiliary Program at 32 Division. That’s where I met him. A hero in life, long before today. #HeroesInLife #EndOfWatch #OPP #TorontoPoliceAuxiliary @OPP @TorontoPolice

During his time leading the New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh showed a rare kind of strength that came from within. He spoke with patience and tolerance, even when faced with harsh criticism. As a conservative watching from the other side, I found it hard not to notice how sensitive he was to the needs of so many Canadians who wanted a softer, more caring voice in politics. Singh had a gentle heart and a deep belief that Canada needed more social programs, greater awareness of people’s struggles, and less focus on military power. He stood strongly as an ally to many minority communities. Though I did not always agree with his ideas and still believed in stronger conservative values, it was clear to see the goodness in his approach. Even as a staunch conservative at the time, I quietly respected his kindness and the softer side he brought to the NDP. Whether one supported his views or not, most Canadians—if not all—would agree that Jagmeet Singh was an incredible leader for the federal NDP. His ability to speak for so many with compassion left a lasting impression. What are your thoughts on the legacy of Jagmeet? 🇨🇦 #cdnpoli

Carney says a majority will prevent unnecessary delays: "We've had a variety of issues... where debates have been more performative than actual debates around substance. I don't want to read into the record, although other deputies in parliament did read into the record their love of cats and dogs."
