Crimson Desert EARLY impressions:
• Visuals looks even better in person
• There is almost zero handholding, you need to figure things out yourself
• Controls are definitely confusing at first but I started to get the hang of it within a couple hours
• There is so much to do JUST in the opening town. It's actually kind of overwhelming 😆
• The world very much feels lived in. You can talk to nearly every NPC for some useful info or XP.
• Interactivity is insane, everything has physics and objects can interact with each other
• Really like the combat so far, excited to try out different weapons
• Story has been slow in the opening hours, hopefully it starts to pick up

Crimson Desert on PS5 Pro. FPS is visibly very inconsistent in the first town.
It was worse on the base PS5. Imagine this in a fortress or castle with 15-20 enemies to fight.
Lots of NPCs just tanks performance.
This is why they were selective and weird with console footage.

Why is there so much hate for Dragon’s Dogma 2?
I still prefer the first game, but there were a lot of great things about the 2nd game that I liked over the 1st. I do wish Capcom gave it more love with performance improvement updates and DLC.

Since there were a lot of mentions that Crimson Desert looked like what Dragon’s Dogma 2 should’ve been. Crimson Desert currently has a lower Metacritic score (77) than Dragon’s Dogma 2 (86).
