Not a financial expert. But answer is Yes. Buy. Keep buying whenever you can. However small amount you can afford. Buy frequently. Gold unlike diamonds/pearls/stocks is a real asset.
A friend/colleague abroad used to buy 500G to 1 Kg gold every year. His salary was 120-150K$ so it was a substantial part of his income. 100 Gms used to cost 1.5L in 2009/10…
He now owns 14-15KG of gold. Worth 20-22 crs. Calculate his ROI. No stocks would give you these returns safely.

Clearly these people were not loyal to their own countries and then how can they be ever belong or care for Dubai. Matter of time UAE will be back. When you put a Tika on your forehead, it is a proclamation that the brain behind it is not empty for another faith. It declares to the world that you have picked one faith and are unmoved in it. For years, I had no visible mark of faith on my person at work. I admired a south Indian colleague of mine who would proudly put Tripund on his forehead. I pray and put a chandan Tika on my forehead most of the days. I was wearing Rudraksh on arm for sometime, lost it. Now I have a Rudraksh Karungali in the neck. What is your thought? Do you wear visible marks of your faith to work or are you embarrassed about it? Your visible marker is first indication to the external world that you are not open to throw away your faith. Just a thought coming on the backdrop of #TCSConversionStory. Your views?

The Middle East NEEDS INDIA, not Pakistan, to mediate negotiations between Iran’s Islamic regime and the Trump administration. India has DEMONSTRATED SUCCESS in PEACE agreements with Bangladesh, China, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Pakistan, by contrast, has been widely criticized for links to Islamist jihadist networks in the region in the recent past, with effects similar in some cases to Iran’s destabilizing behavior in places such as India and Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden, was found in Pakistan near a military academy, and members of al-Qaeda have operated from Iran, with some reportedly still present. What is needed is a country with a proven record in building peace and with real leverage over Iran, including economic ties such as oil trade. This negotiation risks failure because the current host lacks both the credibility and the diplomatic track record to manage such a dialogue. A state accustomed to confrontation cannot credibly lead a peace process; otherwise, it would have already resolved long-standing disputes like Kashmir.

Lol, these stinky jeets still don’t get it, Pakistanis are on a whole different level. The only reason both these delegations were brought to Nur Khan Air Base was so the whole world could see for itself that Modi’s big claim from last year was nothing but a lie. He had his people convinced that India had completely destroyed the base, and now everyone’s watching it host high-level international talks like it’s business as usual.

I just realized there is no exact equivalent word for "empathy" in Hindi. Or any Indian language. Explains a lot, doesn't it. The closest one is the Sanskrit "samvedana" which is very close to empathy but not quite and is not broadly used. This concept of feeling/sharing/understanding someone else's pain, trauma and suffering is very alien to our culture. Because our culture is basically the caste system. And caste system actually actively *disincentivizes* empathy. We have words for kindness, compassion, love, charity, generosity, but not for empathy. Frankly, many older cultures don't understand and define empathy. Not just ours. It's an highly evolved concept, an high evolved word. And we we are a highly unevolved, backward culture.

Big story: No person who professes a religion other than Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism shall be a member of Scheduled caste. Conversion to any other religion results in loss of Scheduled caste status : Supreme Court. Basically, Dalit Christians can’t take advantage of SC protection. Qs is: does religion change end caste discrimination? Courts may need a reality check!

Father said: "Ok, now take it to the pawn shop".
The girl returns to her father & said: "The pawn shop offered $1,000 dollars because it's a very old car & a lot of work done".
The father told her to join a passionate car club with experts & show them the car.
The girl drove to the passionate car club.
She returned to her father after a few hours & told him, “Some people in the club offered me $100k because its a rare car that's in good condition.”
Then the father said, "I wanted to let you know that you are not worth anything if you are not in the right place. If you are not appreciated, do not be angry, that means you are in the wrong place. Don't stay in a place where no one sees your value ."
The moral of the story : Know your worth and know where you are valued. A diamond doesn't shine on the bottom of a cave.
