In the name of DOGE, please create an LGA incentive to consolidate Minnesota's thousands of tiny, subsidized municipalities largely managed by the League of Minnesota Cities. Otter Tail County for example has 83 local governments for <60k people- including 22 school districts

It's hilarious that WCCO TV (CBS in Minnesota) said that "only" 24% of those ICE arrested during Operation Metro Surge had criminal records (aside from being in the US illegally and wage theft, etc.). "Only." There were 4,000 arrested, meaning almost 1,000 had criminal records such as DUI, robbery, and sexual assault. WCCO never gave a baseline as to whether 1,000 is a big or small number. I think getting 4,000 people off the streets who are not here legally, and of that number 1,000 who have committed other crimes is a big win for ICE and for Minnesota.

@modusoperandi67 @ImSchultz I lack comprehension skills? You might want to reread what I actually said. I already acknowledged that when you aggregate broader state aid and include LGA, Greater Minnesota comes out higher. My point was that on actual welfare/human-services aid, the metro is higher.

1.) Decades of @MinnesotaDFL single-party control gutted Minneapolis. 2.) Explosive tax increases shift to homeowners as a consequence. 3.) Republicans are working to fix MN and lower taxes.
