There’s only one person on the planet who could bring an end to the Sorsby debacle that we haven’t heard from: Brendan Sorsby. If Sorsby wanted people to believe he’s a good guy who regrets making mistakes that’s he’s going to own - and not dodge - he could announce tomorrow that, for the benefit of college football and his teammates, he will not play college football during the 2026-27 season. By doing so, he would be demonstrating more integrity than the rest of the Texas Tech administration combined. By not doing so, he will end up being a cautionary tale about hubris and putting one’s own interests above the interests of others.

As Big 12 presidents consider sanctions, Texas Tech reps notified the league that any penalty will be met with legal action, sources tell @YahooSports. Tech is exploring legal avenues with noted attorney Jeff Kessler, including seeking a second injunction bit.ly/4v1ghqC

I kinda like how Texas Tech won’t stop talking. They just keep revealing more and more how stupid they are. I’m finding it funny.

Barely mentioned in the Sorsby discourse: Almost everything he did was illegal. -- Underage gambling -- Using other peoples' identities/accounts -- Sending money to friends out of state to place bets for him. The latter 2 could incriminate others as well. (Continued.)

NEWS: The Oklahoma Attorney General's office issued a rebuttal letter to the Texas AG's office's letter to the Big 12. Oklahoma AG Gentner Drummond says that the idea that Big 12 may not sanction its members is “facially absurd” and says Texas Tech’s actions have “constituted a shameful chapter in the story of college football.” Per me and @max_olson.

Black man says, “I’m so proud of y’all for k*lling that white boy,” and wants to have one day a week to punch little white boys and girls and the elderly. I don’t think he realizes just how sick and tired and FATIGUED we are with them.

Sorsby's Lawyer: "In conclusion, Your Honor, was my client betting on his own sport? Yes. Was my client making bets on his own team, including bets AGAINST his own team? Yes. Did my client's actions undermine the integrity of college athletics as a whole? Yes. And would reinstating him jeopardize the future of ALL of college athletics by making the public question whether anything they see in any game going forward is actually legitimate? Yes. But you should still reinstate him, because if you don't, he'll be reawwy sad 😢."

So let me get this TT situation right. -A retired judge made the ruling in a Lubbock county court. -If appealed it will go before 4 court justices who have all have graduated from TT. -The CFB playoff isn't likely to ban TT from the playoff on account that the TT President is on the committee. -If the member schools/Big 12 try to enforce a new bylaw ruling, or if teams decide not to play them, then TT and Texas AG Ken Paxton will pursue legal action. -Cody Campbell has donated over 6 figures to Ken Paxton's election campaign. -Ken Paxton has been impeached for bribery, obstruction of justice and abuse of office. On top of countless accusations of fraud. Feels like Cody Campbell has everyone in his back pocket. It just all seems a little to coincidental for my liking.
