we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.

WHAT TOMORROW CAN BRING Pakistan, Iran, Türkiye are contiguous. Iraq is the gateway to KSA, Qatar is a short hop by ferry, connected with the KSA. Most importantly, China and Pakistan are connected by land via the highest highway in the world - the Karakoram Highway. But for all this closeness, politics and sanctions have been a spoiler. Now we are possibly days away from these sanctions being removed. The gravity of this moment is impossible to fully take in. What can come next is integration between these countries that were artificially kept apart. The potential is immense. There are massive complementarities which could never be exercised due to sanctions and foreign manipulation. There is a real chance both these constraints crumble in the weeks ahead. Energy will be unlimited between Iran, KSA and Qatar fueling all these countries. China can help implement cheap solar, as it has in Pakistan, which now derives 25% of its energy needs via solar. This region will be an aviation hub and a massive drone power. No one exports more drones than Turkiye, and no one has more drones than Iran, possibly sans China. Türkiye and Pakistan are building fighter and trainer aircraft, KSA and Iran can use them. Türkiye is working on a jet engine, all three countries can use it. China has commercial and military engines that can integrate with some of these regional programs. Pakistan is building satellites, Iran has SLV launch capability. A regional space program? Pakistan produces large quantities of cement and exports to the ME. Iran specializes in concrete and its scientists have published world leading research in this area. Construction can boom and KSA’s dreams of huge development projects can be supported through this local capacity. Türkiye and Iran manufacture large numbers of cars, Pakistan is catching up but needs more indigenization which these countries can help with. Iran’s excellence in physics and mathematics is world class. KAUST in KSA is a very well-endowed university. Türkiye has amazing engineering schools. Pakistan’s NUST, LUMS, QAU and other University programs rank highly. Cooperation between these institutions means ALL of them will improve. Tourism? There is unlimited potential. This region is the most interesting part of the world. It is the cradle of civilization. It has been kept hidden due to sanctions and political walls. But when you can drive from Islamabad to Tehran to Istanbul, and on your way back, take a ferry to Doha, drive across the Kingdom and pay your respects at the Prophet’s mosque in Medina… bliss! When Doha to Skardu flights bring in tourists to the most beautiful, tallest mountains in the world. When students from Ankara drive to Persepolis. There is unlimited potential. What is it that this region cannot produce? What area of science, education, health, leisure does not materially improve across all these connected nations as barriers come down? I am so hopeful about what tomorrow will bring. Let the sun rise. Bismillah…

The most beautiful thing you could ever see in your life happened in Australia, and it was captured with a mobile phone camera from a train, in very bad weather! The question is where is the media coverage for such a great event? But we can help make the whole world see it

Gul Plaze is beyond a tragedy, and the magnitude of loss could have been avoided if proper delivery of government resources was in place. There's no denying of it. Govt refusing to even acknowledge this and calling it "politicization" shows they really don't care..

We all watched the people of Gaza lift Journalist Saleh onto their shoulders, rejoicing at the ceasefire news. The next day he was slaughtered by an Israeli-backed gang. Meta quickly erased his social media. Rest in power brother, we will keep you in our hearts forever.

🚨BREAKING 🚨: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Northern Gaza, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize after Doctors for Gaza from the Netherlands put his name forward. A Palestinian paediatrician and neonatologist, Abu Safiya was born on 21 November 1973 at Jabalia Refugee Camp in Gaza, his family having been kicked out from Hamama during the 1948 Nakba. Abu Safiya is in prison under Israel’s “Unlawful Combatants” law, which allows extended detention without the standard legal processes. Since his arrest, Dr. Abu Safiya has reportedly been held under harsh and abusive conditions: Denied adequate medical care. Suffering serious health issues: heart enlargement, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat. Weight loss of over 15kgs in a short period. Solitary confinement, physical abuse including beatings and other mistreatment. HIS MISTAKE? He stayed and continued to provide medical care at Kamal Adwan when Northern Gaza was under siege. Abu Safiya has become a symbol of Gaza’s crumbling healthcare system under dire conditions. His work and arrest have drawn international attention and concern.

I watched a video of a dust covered child approx 8 years old on the 2nd floor of a bombed building, pleading for help saying ‘My mother is still alive’ This is where we are. The international community is allowing this. Some of them are cheering it on. Shameful.

Please help push for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya. His illegal imprisonment by Israel is set to expire on Sept 10. The government of Kazakhstan is set to release a list of evacuees from Gaza on Sept 11. Please help pressure and urge for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya so that he can be reunited with his family. Release all Palestinian political prisoners. Free them all. Free Palestine.
