Wes' donors are getting restless that those contracts aren't coming after all.

🚨 BREAKING: Wes Streeting will meet with Keir Starmer tomorrow to ask how he plans to “get us out of this mess” [@thetimes]
English

@Obseyxx @tontytrains @ZakDaviesKhan Let me take a big sip of water and check who the Labour candidate was in the by-election caused by Coban's resignation

English

The council taxpayers of Hackney pay the price for the Greens not being bothered to do the most basic eligibility checks on their candidates.
It's been less than a week. Two by-elections announced.
Josef Steen@JSLondonLDR
🚨One of Hackney's brand new Green councillors has quit immediately for breaking electoral rules - triggering a fresh by-election mylondon.news/news/east-lond…

@Ferretgrove @SaulStaniforth Martyrdom suits some I suppose, I chose not smashing my face into a brickwall forever more. Good luck.
English

@happymonkey1874 @archer_rs You won't find anything. Like all of the people who *definitely* backed Corbyn in the way they're now demanding you all back Starmer, they only discovered Twitter after the 2019 general election.
English

@RossMcCaff We might finally get any answer as to what he considers the hilarious side of dementia.
English

@Anniepop2027 @TomBaldwin66 And we need Leveson2 desperately. Wipe the smile off these smug editors and their non-dom tax-avoiding masters.
English

@mexicola25 @gregoapple @meganekenyon @NewStatesman Split the vote? I thought they were all antisemitic fleas you didn't need anyway, Andy?
English

Exclusive: Green Party sources tell me they would "throw the kitchen sink" at winning a by-election in Manchester in which Andy Burnham is allowed to stand.
Party sources told me they would plan to “hit [Burnham] very hard from his left”. @newstatesman

English

@keonian_ @LaszloSean @LizWebsterSBF @meganekenyon @abbasnasir59 @NewStatesman @ZackPolanski Hahahahaha.
Yeah, Labour are going to ensure they never win majority power again.
English

@LaszloSean @LizWebsterSBF @meganekenyon @abbasnasir59 @NewStatesman @ZackPolanski yes, but bearing in mind a streeting or starmer govt is unlikely to achieve any left wing policy and will certainly reform in a reform victory in the next election. anyone on the left should know the danger. maybe in exchange, greens can negotiate PR
English

@judeinlondon Palace have the Conference League final a few days later. Their starting XI won't have a Wikipedia page between them.
English

@akerr_andrew @SkipMcQueen @TedUrchin @KathrynDW59 @AlisonRam @CatherineWest1 @UKLabour Starmer's favourite nonce befriender bragged about spending his time undermining Corbyn and then Starmer made him US Ambassador as punishment.
English

@SkipMcQueen @TedUrchin @KathrynDW59 @AlisonRam @CatherineWest1 @UKLabour I completely reject your ridiculous assertion that anyone in the party deliberately sabotaged Labour’s electoral chances. It’s one of the silliest ideas I’ve ever heard. Are you a flat earther?
English

@JonathSchofield @saleiron @joand7 @hacking4chorltz I know Jon, what are they like? Why can't they just support the grown ups like you as they facilitate a genocide?
English

@saleiron @joand7 @hacking4chorltz The Green Party have used Gaza to gain votes. Manchester has had sustained success through clear headed stability.
English

@ojos_no_ven Yes agree as to the nature of the Labour victory and has been a disastrous start. We need a progressive alliance on the left. Many people I know have joined the Greens.
Thurcaston, England 🇬🇧 English

Andy Burnham couldn't stop Labour being taken over by Corbyn and then abandoned us for Manchester. Keir Starmer reclaimed the Party, dealt with antisemitism and led us to a landslide victory. Now those MPs who are in Govt thanks to Keir are worrying about the GE in 3 years time.
Thurcaston, England 🇬🇧 English

If you already have a problem with everyone calling you a paedo defender I don't think bringing Harriet Harman in is the best idea
Kate Ferguson@kateferguson4
NEW: PM Harriet Harman brought in by Keir Starmer to be his new Adviser on Women and Girls.
English

@paulmasonnews Starmer needs to let the beast out of the cage, no more mister nice guy.
English

When are people going to seriously address the problem of competition for seats between Labour and the Greens helping Reform?
Labour and the LibDems can quietly cooperate because they share very few target seats, which makes tactical voting very easy. However, Labour and the Greens share many target seats meaning that there will be bitter arguments as to whose candidate is best placed to win.
This problem needs to be resolved, because if it isn't our first past the post system could put Farage into Number 10 with less then 30% of the vote.
English

So, what are Labour going to do about winning back Green voters other than sending Uncle Paul out on Twitter to tsk-tsk anyone who cast their ballot for them?
Paul Mason@paulmasonnews
Your cut-out-and-keep guide to what's happening in England:
English

@SteveSmith_cam @nickreeves9876 Steve, there is no splitting the vote. Nobody voting Green would be seen dead voting for the Starmer Party.
Keep shaking off those fleas.
English

@nickreeves9876 Been saying this repeatedly for months
Its obvious all the greens will do is split the vote
English

Labour is losing more votes to the Greens than to Reform, which is allowing Reform to win seats. Extend that to a General Election, and the struggle between Labour and the Greens could propel Farage into power.
Eudora Fedora@carolgodsmark
Read this, James Orr, to settle you down for the night and ponder the future of @reform. The Greens are the ones who really have it. From Professor John Curtice.
English

Bottled it. Or they have absolutely no idea how to depose him, lol.
