@YNHH hosted a press conference with city and state officials Tuesday promoting the CT Baby Bonds program, designed to raise awareness for parents of eligible newborns. CT Baby Bonds will set aside funds for each baby born in Connecticut whose birth was covered by HUSKY.

In this paper, I along with my co-authors (@KatieNasher, @ambrosehwong, @mollymarkowitz, @drkrissyy, Leah Robinson, and Laura Cramer) highlight that not only are there racial disparities in physical restraint, but those disparities are actually WIDER among girls… 1/

Today’s @US_FDA approval of the first over-the-counter contraceptive is a critical step toward allowing Americans to take control of their bodies, their health, and their futures. Our statement to come. 1/2

We applaud today’s @US_FDA decision to approve over-the-counter birth control pills. Making them available over-the-counter will help reduce barriers and provide adolescents with another option for accessing contraception.

I wanted to share some of my thoughts on today's Supreme Court decision on affirmative action:

Today #CTBabyBonds officially goes into effect. Now, for every baby born whose birth is covered by HUSKY, the state will invest $3,200 towards their futures. Approximately 15,000 babies per year will be eligible!
