Dad here. So here we are! Another year. 10 years since we were told that he would not survive to see his next birthday. Please wish my beloved son Alexander a Happy Birthday. I am so proud of who he is and inspired by what he will become. Archer, champion of History, Heritage and Nature, Christian, falconer, writer, Whovian, UAV Pilot and Distiller. He is gentle & kind but also strong and noble. Many people have asked what to send him for his birthday. I say send nothing but your best wishes and if you can spare a few pounds or dollars add to his Go Fund Me. He has several opportunities ahead to help British Wildlife and preserve our Christian history - he just needs to make sure he has the equipment to do the job to its best. Please give here: gofund.me/acffd8e35 #HappyBirthdayAlex #AlexandersJourney #History #Nature #Heritage #Christian 🇬🇧🇺🇸✝️🙏🏻👑✍🏻🦌🦉🦿💪🏻🦎🦕🌞🌳🏹

Parents and guardians, This one's for you! We know that this time of year is meant to be fun, full of costumes, fireworks and cosy nights in . But unfortunately, behind the scenes, we see a very different side. Every Halloween and Bonfire Night, we see kids misusing fireworks and unfortunately, this year is no different. Already, we are seeing problems begin to arise, with emergency service staff being pelted with fireworks. As well as this, bus routes have also been closed in some parts of Merseyside, due fireworks being thrown at buses and it becoming too unsafe for drivers. We don’t want to criminalise children. We know that most young people are great kids and just want to enjoy themselves, but the behaviour we are seeing isn’t just ‘kids being kids’ it’s beyond that. We don’t want to knock on your door late at night. And we don’t want to see a young person’s future affected by one poor decision made in the excitement of the moment. Please talk to the children in your life. Ask where they’re going, who they’re with, and what they’re planning. Help them understand the risks, not just to themselves, but to others. Remind them that the choices they make have real consequences. Encourage them to enjoy the season safely, whether that’s attending organised events, joining local youth activities, or spending time at home. If you see antisocial behaviour happening where you live, report it to us today: 📳 DM our control room directly at @MerPolCC 📞 Report anonymously to Crimestoppers: 0800 555 111 🌐 Or online: orlo.uk/9HORc

💔 Big Buddy’s Cry for Love 💔 He’s a giant of a German Shepherd — strong, loyal, gentle — but behind those eyes is a dog who’s lost everything. This is Buddy — or “Big Buddy,” as we call him. He’s with us here in Cornwall at German Shepherd Rescue Elite, and despite all his size and strength… sometimes, the loneliness gets too much. Today, in the paddock, he just stood there and cried. Not because he’s hurt. But because he’s waiting. Waiting for his person. Waiting for the day he finally gets to go home. 🏡 If you can open your heart — or help us find someone who can — please share his story far and wide. The right person might see this post because of you. ❤️ 🐾 Adopt, foster, donate, @gsrescueelite 📍 Cornwall Kennels #AdoptDontShop #GermanShepherdRescue #RescueDog #FabulousFinn #BigBuddy #HeartbrokenDog #GSRE #RescueDogsOfInstagram #DogsOfFacebook #DogLovers #AnimalRescue #ShareForBuddy

Today is a special day as PD Annie 🐶 will work her last ever shift, before her formal retirement next week. Annie is 7-years-old and licenced as a General Purpose Dog for the force in December 2019. She then went one step further, becoming a Firearms Support Dog in January 2022 🥳 She has had so many stand out moments throughout her career. Three hours into her very first independent shift, Annie located and detained a male hiding in a garden shed who was responsible for an attack involving a machete. PD Annie LOVES working but when she has some down time, she enjoys nothing more than playing with the other PD’s she lives with, often being a maternal figure to them, teaching them manners and respect from an early age ❤️ Speaking to Annie’s handler, she told us that Annie is a “bright and intelligent” dog who “always responded appropriately to the humans around her”. Her handler said: “Whether it be detaining burglars or meeting school children and letting them stroke and cuddle her, she has such a positive impact on the community in many ways.” Annie was “fiercely loyal” to her handler and together they were a fantastic team🤝 Following her retirement, Annie will remain living with her handler and has already expressed a keen interest in relaxing on the garden sofa! We wish Annie all the best and thank her for her incredible service to the force 💕 Do you like seeing content like this from us? 👀 Let us know what you want to see on our channels by filling out the National Social Media Survey we are currently taking part in.
