Alex Freeland has won the 2B job I think this is the right call. Freeland has more on-base upside at the bottom of the lineup and will get the chance to adjust in the big leagues. This doesn’t mean unlimited leash though; just what it will look like on Thursday

Seeing the timeline crash out over the Kim/Freeland move has been wild 1) Kim now gets to play every day in OKC (which is a good thing) 2) Freeland gets a chance to prove he's legit (the upside is higher with him) 3) Most importantly... the Dodgers know what they're doing

Dave Roberts said the Dodgers felt Alex Freeland showed more in at-bat quality than his poor spring numbers indicated. Goal is to get Hyeseong Kim everyday at-bats in OKC to keep going through swing tweaks, with Freeland starting at 2B vs. RHP.

Dave Roberts said part of the decision to have Kim begin the season in OKC is an opportunity to play everyday. 2B, CF, SS will be where Kim plays. Freeland will get a runway against right handed pitchers to begin the season. This is his opportunity to seize #Dodgers are giving him while Edman is on IL.
