@EdstrattonIII @coachdeesmith Yeah, by varsity, all the kids that didn’t play travel are weeded out because they didn’t make freshman or JV. Now if you are talking about a small school that struggles to get enough kids, we are in a different convo.

@moneyandthangs @coachdeesmith Hardly any kids, I don't know any that have been cut from varsity sports, any coach that would cut players isn't a good coach, the kids that aren't good choose other sports because they know if they are good or not, they self regulate.

Once I dated a guy who came from an upper middle-class family, huge beautiful house with a SAHM and dad successful in business. His parents made the kids work restaurant jobs to “build character.” It always struck me as a very prole-coded way of thinking.
