This morning at Leland Industries in Scarborough, I announced my proposal of a 25% property tax cut for industry and small businesses in the 2025 city budget. This cut will provide urgent relief to nearly 3,500 manufacturers and 30,000 small businesses.

Do you know why your property taxes go up? Because the provincial government doesn't reinvest the taxes you give them back in to you and your community for public services, including housing, health care, child care, and senior care. So, municipalities have to pick up the tab.
