I’ve noticed a pattern in Bollywoods films, They love to paint villains as ex-RAW agents, or often Hindus, while spinning this unrealistic idea that RAW and ISI have some kind of mutual respect or even friendship. Add to that the usual trope, an Indian agent falling for an ISI agent and trying to balance love with duty. That’s why this film Dhurandhar hit differently. Aditya Dhar didn’t try to sugar-coat anything. He showed things the way they are, no forced friendships, no romanticized cross-border equations. RAW isn’t sitting there building bonds with ISI, and ISI certainly isn’t helping India out of goodwill. The incidents are real and the portrayal of nationalism isn’t diluted for the sake of storytelling. And after watching this movie, I get why some people are uncomfortable with it. When you strip away the fantasy and show a more hard-edged reality, it’s bound to trigger reactions. For me though, this is exactly what was missing. Straightforward, unapologetic, and rooted in realism. Easy 10/10 to this film. #Dhurandhar2‌TheRevenge
