Andor like The Pitt has a leading man. He's the clear MC. The show's final arc starts with an ep where he doesn't appear AT ALL and the MC is a girl who till then was only supporting. It's one of the best eps you'll ever see. So yes. Ego does get in the way of great storytelling.
