Bitcoin: Dubious Speculation In this video we talk about Bitcoin nearing the 200D SMA. In 2018/2022, the 200D SMA was the local high. In 2014/2019, BTC went slightly above. In 2014/2018/2022, the lower high occurred around the 0.382 Fib retracement, which is around $85k. But in 2018 and 2022 that corresponded to the 200D SMA. Tough market to get right, but my guess is that a lower high is eventually formed and then BTC forms a major low in October 2026.

No pattern is bulletproof, but flags/channels on Bitcoin for the past 2 cycles have done a great job of showing what to expect. And for the past 2 months, price has been in a textbook bear flag. This is our second bear flag of the 2026 bear market. For reference, 2022 saw 5 before the cycle bottom distribution channel. Flags are tricky, because inside of them price will be doing the opposite of the outcome. For bear flags, that's going up, fooling everyone into expecting upside continuation.

In a bull market, extreme oversold is opportunity. In a bear market, it’s business as usual.
