I recall Rangers fans assuring me the rather fantastical penalty numbers were down to their style of play encompassing 4 or 5 different managers. 🤔 Their style of play seems to have changed rather dramatically after Crawford Allan left 🤷‍♂️

Now it’s celebrations (not disputed). Your claim that every VAR comm/check automatically creates additional lost time isn’t what IFAB says. What’s next?

@BorderSolution_ @jonnyrmcfarlane @Mitch111078 I’ll help you out… no delay for a check The goal went in at 97:30 and “check complete” was 97:47 while Celtic players were still celebrating/resetting anyway. That’s not a delayed restart caused by VAR. That’s a silent check happening during normal stoppage time after a goal.

Stop and Remove: If an extra person (such as a substitute, team official, or an extra player) enters the field of play, the referee must have the extra person removed immediately. Goal Scored: If a team with 12 players scores a goal and the referee notices the error before play restarts, the goal is disallowed. The game restarts with an indirect free kick for the opposing team. Retrospective Action: If play has already restarted after a goal and the referee realizes a 12th player was on the pitch, the goal stands. The incident is reported to the governing competition authorities for review.
