Stop and Remove: If an extra person (such as a substitute, team official, or an extra player) enters the field of play, the referee must have the extra person removed immediately. Goal Scored: If a team with 12 players scores a goal and the referee notices the error before play restarts, the goal is disallowed. The game restarts with an indirect free kick for the opposing team. Retrospective Action: If play has already restarted after a goal and the referee realizes a 12th player was on the pitch, the goal stands. The incident is reported to the governing competition authorities for review.
