Most brands never succeed because they want to be inclusive. If you’re talking to everybody, you’re talking to nobody. My most frequent feedback on any piece of marketing my team produces for our business is “this is not exclusive enoug. Be awfully exclusive. Make sure the opposite of our ICP would hate us for delivering this ad to them.” It doesn’t require skills, just the willingness to talk to the few. Be exclusive and win.
