And in 50 years time when we have mountains of non-recyclable solar panels, and wind turbines have depleted the balsa wood of the Amazon Forest whilst using tons of oil and filling up huge tracts of land with concrete only to bequeath thousands of graveyards of non-biodegradable turbine blades - what then Mr Hutton?

Ed Miliband gets relentless bile from the right for his ‘ideological’ commitment to clean, cheap renewable energy - just as Nye Bevan once did for creating the NHS. Yet on March 25 97.7 % of our electricity was from renewables. A revolution is unfolding. observer.co.uk/news/columnist…

"...we don't need nuclear. England needs nuclear"
"I worked in Norway, with Statoil and a joint venture with BP. And without a shadow of doubt, an independent Scotland's energy model should be almost exactly the same as the Norwegian model.
It does not include nuclear because we don't need nuclear. England needs nuclear. And where do they want their nuclear power stations? Exactly where they want their nuclear weapons, as far away from London and the people of England as possible.
So we are dumped wae it, 35 miles from Glasgow city centre, and way up in the north of Scotland and that's where they want them. They want them as far away from the population bases in England as possible.
The model that we should be adopting is the Norwegian 'every barrel counts', start manufacturing much, much more in Scotland and we sell the oil and gas.
And in a mountainous country like Scotland and Norway with plenty of water, we should be using hydroelectric pump storage exactly the way Norway does.
And Rob Edwards in The Ferret, he also laid out where this money came from and what it was all about. And this is Anas Sarwar accepting this from Stonehaven, which is a lobbying firm which represents the owner of Scotland's last nuclear power station.
So nah, it's a con, we don't need it. And they can sling their hook in an independent Scotland. Oh aye, and they can take their nuclear weapons with them." @PhilBoswellSNP @Scotpol1314 @SalvoHighlands @LiberationScot @The_SSP_ @IndyScotParty @VoteSovereignty @VoteBPB @LiberateScot

Dr Mototaka Nakamura has called climate models mere "toys".
They're tuned with guesswork, he says, ignore key drivers like clouds, oceans and the sun, and cannot predict climate.
Dr Nakamura is far from fringe. He earned his doctorate at MIT, worked with NASA and Caltech, and spent 25 years studying climate dynamics.
"Climate models are Mickey Mouse mockeries of the real world," he says, and he argues scientists have falsified records to exaggerate recent warming. Exaggerations that underpin trillion-dollar policies.
Nakamura says meaningful climate forecasting is an impossibility, and that CO2 isn't the control knob.

Shocking new ice core data reveals CO2 levels were stable at around 250 ppm for three million years, while temperatures crashed into ice ages and spiked without any greenhouse gas changes. No link found!
This demolishes the alarmist narrative that CO2 drives climate. Activists are scrambling, grasping at straws.
What's the real story behind our climate? You need to see this.
