That genuinely might be the ass-beating of the season. Lakers are just completely physically and athletically overwhelmed on both ends by OKC. They eat Luka alive. He’s averaged 15.5 PPG with 5.0 TOVs on 43.4% TS with a -56 +- in two games vs. OKC this year. Real numbers. Yeesh.

Luka Doncic has taken 116 more shots than SGA this season. If we assume SGA’s standard shot diet and efficiency (15.3 2PA @ 60.2% & 4.4 3PA @ 38.8%) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would have another 109 points from 2’s and 30 points from 3s and would be averaging more PPG than Luka with his FGA. (And that’s not even getting into the FT convo, which Luka has 76 more of)

Honestly, no. OKC fans will riot but I just simply don't think the film is going to show that. I'll do th work here in a week or so, I've started on his passing. But the key is that MVP SHOULD be about winning. That HAS to be paramount. As much as I think OKC wins FIRST because of their defense, it is INARGUABLE that no one wins more than Shai. Not in games, not in point diff per minute, not in clutch time. Shai is the biggest WINNER right now in the league and there is nothing more valuable than that, even if a lot of his game leaves me underwhelmed compared to the monster engines in terms of creativity.

My wife Amy was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and starts chemo therapy tomorrow afternoon. We have felt really encouraged by our community and feel God’s presence through it all. Pray for strength for her and she starts this journey. We believe she will have complete healing, but it will be a long road. I’m thankful for all that have reached out in support of her.
