Prior to the 1967 Biafra War, the then Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, sent Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Professor Aluko, and other members of the NOC Committee to Enugu to plead with Ojukwu to embrace peace and avoid war. However, Ojukwu boasted that he had the largest Black army in the world and was prepared for war. When the war eventually began, millions of Ibos suffered greatly, while Ojukwu later fled to Ivory Coast. After the war, Gowon pursued a policy of “No Victor, No Vanquished” and reintegrated the Ibos back into Nigeria. Awolowo, who served as Minister of Finance, also introduced the 20-pound compensation policy for many Ibo account holders who lost access to their bank savings during the war. Ironically, ibo people still regard Ojukwu who ran away to ivory coast as hero, while those who advocated for peace and post-war reconciliation are viewed negatively.

“Monkey de work, Baboon de chop. All my body na bullet wounds full am,” he said while displaying what appeared to be scars from gunshot wounds on his shoulders. The officer further questioned why citizens record police personnel but rarely film military or State Security Service personnel on operations. Speaking angrily, he vowed to kill anyone who films him while on duty. snip.ng/KWqEq

Remembering Christiana Oluwatoyin Oluwasesin and the Monster We Allowed to Fester Christiana Oluwatoyin Oluwasesin, a wife and mother of two, was a Christian teacher who was brutally beaten, stabbed, stoned, and murd**ered by her students on March 21, 2007, at Gandu Government Day Secondary School in Gombe State, Nigeria. After k**ing her, the mob butc**hered her body and set what remained on fi*re. What was her offence? On that fateful Wednesday, Christiana was invigilating students writing their Islamic Religious Studies examination. One of the students attempted to enter the examination hall with books. Christiana collected the books and threw them outside. The student immediately began crying and alleged that one of the books was a copy of the Qur’an. Within moments, other students began shouting “Allahu Akbar.” As tension escalated, the school principal, the head boy, and some teachers escorted Christiana to the principal’s office for safety. But from there, hell broke loose. The commotion attracted members of Yan Kalare, a youth gang known for operating as political thugs. They joined the students, dragged Christiana out of the principal’s office, stripped her naked, stoned, and beat her mercilessly. A student sli*t her thro**at. Her body was then but**chered and bur*nt beyond recognition. Her car was also set ablaze. Her 10-month-old son, Emmanuel, narrowly escaped death after a fellow teacher hid the baby from the mob. Aftermath Sixteen suspects were arrested in connection with the mur**der Yet, within roughly two months, all of them were released without being charged to court. News of their release emerged around June 5, 2007. No meaningful justice followed. These are the monsters we have living with us.

Ifeanyi Eze has stayed all his life in Sokoto. He was probably born there. He is politically active. Today he indicated interest to be COORDINATOR OF OBINGO MOVEMENT for Sokoto State. Not for his LP OR NDC o. He wasn't contesting for Councillorship, HoA, HoR, Senate or Governor. It was just for the Political Pressure Group of Ibo Zionists called Obingo Movement. Just that. The Hausa-Fulani Sokoto people havent even began to Ifeanyi's moves in Sokoto when his own IBO PEOPLE called him aside. They say he should STOP it. They advised him to ALLOW THE INDIGENES handle their thing. They told him they don't want trouble. Do you know that I am in Ibadan right now and at the main gate of the Oyo State Secretariat I saw huge bill board showing Seyi Makinde in Isiagwu and another Ibo man, coordinator of Ibos in Ibadan sending a message to Ibadan people on what must happen of their politics? In Amuwo-odofin LGA, ALL TEN (10) WARD coordinators of NDC are Ibos. NDC is fielding candidates for various positions of Elections in Lagos State and so far they are all Ibos. IBO APC in Lagos is demanding HoR tickets for THREE (3) of TWENTY -FOUR (24 ) Federal Constituencies in Lagos for Ibos alone!@ In thr same Lagos, Okey-Joe Onuakalusi a man from IMO State represents Oshodi-Isolo Constituency in the HoR and in that capacity he distributed goodies to the Constituency and simply gave his Ibo people 24 of our 29 available slots. He said we Yoruba are minorities and he will remember us in quota next time. All these things happen ONLY IN YORUBA LAND. À fi bí Èèdì!!!! Use your tongue to count your teeth! #YorubaRonu #ThinkYorubaFirst #WeHaveMissedRoad © Adedamola Adetayo 16 May 2026

@egi_nupe So the fact that it was a toy gun usually doesn’t save A from an armed robbery charge. That said, the exact charge can depend on the country or state. In some places, prosecutors may add separate charges like intimidation or use of an imitation firearm during a crime.

@egi_nupe A will be charged with armed robbery. Why? Because during the robbery, B didn’t know the gun was fake. The fear and threat were real. In law, if you use something that looks like a real weapon to scare or control a victim while stealing, it’s often treated the same as a real gun.

Elon Musk has just paid and I am in the mood to share 20% of the earnings to the answer with most likes. I will pick the winner by 8pm today. Question: A used toy gun to rob B. A was arrested the next day. What will A be charged for? Robbery or armed robbery? Remember, a toy gun was used. Law students and lawyers are not allowed to participate.

Sorry to disappoint You, I am indigene of Lagos, they are more Lagosian than You because WE'RE ONE ! We YORUBA don't denigrate amongst ourselves like the way Anambra people do to Ebonyi- people. LAGOS is the United States for the YORUBA. So cry if you want to !
Mr MARVEL@nwaocheimarvel

@oluyanimi Once I see Lagos is a Yoruba land, It becomes obvious that even the person talking is not from Lagos State. Lagos State belongs to the indigenes of Lagos, it is not a United State for Yoruba's. If you are from Osun or Ondo, you don't have more rights than me in Lagos.

I am supporting from here Bayo. While I am not around I can drop something for logistics. That Igbo man cannot subject my people to hardline marginalization and I will keep mute. It’s a fight to finish. The only election that matters to me in 2027 is the liberation of my people in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II 🫵

Yoruba people gather here: Look at a whole continent, thousands of kilometers away, locked in absolute awe of our culture. The generational dedication to the continuous understanding of the wisdom of our ancestors. They’ve been at it for centuries, yet they remain awestruck till this day. The culture that we, the Yoruba people, shaped ourselves. Rich with history, pantheons, deities, and enduring stories. Created by the wisdom of our ancestors and preserved over centuries without dilution. Yet, here at home, we the Yoruba people of Nigeria often struggle to fully appreciate the depth and beautiful mystery of what we have. Top 5 ethnic nations of all time, and we are certainly not number 5.

Two Nigerians killed in South Africa as xenophobic tensions rise The Nigerian Consulate in Johannesburg says two Nigerians identified as Amaramiro Emmanuel and Ekpenyong Andrew, have been killed in South Africa amid rising xenophobic tensions.
