Your Excellency, allow us to comment on this post in which we are of the view that it has missed a few important chapters of international law: 1. Aggression originates from the U.S. and the Israeli regime use of regional water, air and land territories: Based on Article 3(f) of the UN General Assembly Resolution 3314 (XXIX) (Definition of Aggression, 14 December 1974), “The action of a State in allowing its territory, which it has placed at the disposal of another State, to be used by that other State for perpetrating an act of aggression against a third State” constitutes aggression. For months, we had warned neighboring countries—particularly those along the Persian Gulf—that any aggression from their soil against Iran would be met with our inherent right to self‑defense. Despite their denials, numerous attacks against Iran have been launched from U.S. bases in these countries, a small example being the downing of three military aircraft in Kuwait. 2. Violation of Article 2(4) of the UN Charter: The United States and the Israeli regime have violated Article 2(4) , which requires all Members to “refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.” Their military aggression against Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity is the root cause of the current crisis. 3. Iran’s response is lawful, legitimate self‑defense: Our response has been strictly in exercise of our inherent right to self‑defense, consistent with international law and the principles of proportionality, necessity, and discrimination. Operations have targeted only military bases and assets of the aggressors. After these military installations were struck, enemy military personnel and forces fled into hotels and civilian centers, taking innocent civilians as hostages—a gross violation of the law of armed conflict. 4. The Strait of Hormuz: prior freedom of navigation & current restrictions: Before the U.S.‑Israeli regime military aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, the Strait of Hormuz was open to all countries. Any current disruption to Persian Gulf security or maritime traffic is a direct consequence of that aggression, and full responsibility lies with the aggressors. As the coastal state, Iran has introduced necessary restrictions to ensure safe passage. Vessels belonging to non‑belligerent countries may conduct innocent passage in coordination with Iran. Clearly, vessels of belligerent parties—especially the U.S. and the terrorist Israeli regime, as well as those serving their interests—cannot use this waterway. 5. Call on all free and independent nations: The Islamic Republic of Iran expects all free and independent nations to stand on the right side of history and condemn the aggressors. We reaffirm our readiness for diplomatic solutions based on mutual respect and international law, but will not hesitate to defend our sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security. Thank you Excellency for paying due consideration the the above facts.

Spoke on phone with H.E Abdulla Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability of the United Arab Emirates this evening. He apprised me on the gravity of the situation in the region, and in particular the repercussions of IRGC’s unjustified attacks of critical infrastructure of GCC countries on not only civilian security, but economic and environmental security of the Globe. I conveyed to him Kenya’s solidarity- in line with President Ruto’s well stated position on this matter- and assured him of our readiness to work with the UAE to respond through diplomatic means to this escalating situation. @ForeignOfficeKE

Allegation by #Irán that US is using military bases in the region to attack it pure propaganda. For months US built and increased its naval presence in the region with multiple carriers and warships including USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Gerald R. Ford from which strikes are launched.

Those are the unjustified attacks @SingoeiAKorir is referring to, but for obvious reasons you've chosen to side track and talk about unrelated UN articles and resolutions.

Also, some of this info is not accurate e.g. Airlines only carry necessary amount of fuel based on weight specifications. No scientific or engineering evidence that flying at dawn and dusk is the safest

THINGS PILOTS KNOW THAT PASSENGERS DON'T 1. Turbulence has never brought down a modern commercial aircraft. 2. The safest seats on a plane are toward the rear. 3. Cabin air is cleaner than the air in most office buildings. 4. Pilots are legally required to eat different meals in case of food poisoning. 5. Most flights carry more fuel than officially needed fear of fuel shortage is never real. 6. Autopilot flies more than 90% of every flight, but pilots are always monitoring. 7. Lightning strikes planes regularly,it's designed for it. 8. The brace position actually works. It's not a myth. 9. Phones in airplane mode don't affect navigation,it's a network congestion rule, not a safety one. 10. Dawn and dusk are statistically the safest times to fly. 11. The crew dims cabin lights before landing at night so your eyes adjust immediately in case of evacuation not for atmosphere.

I will not pretend everything in Siaya County is perfect. There are two or three things clearly going wrong there, just as there are in many other counties. That said, I respect Orengo very much. In this country, it is becoming very hard to find men as consistent as Orengo. At a time when almost every Nyanza leader is ass-kissing Ruto, he has at least tried to hold his ground.

For years the Mau Mau narrative has been hyped and intentionally skewed to show the liberation struggle was single-handedly led by one community or region.This is acutely inaccurate. All communities were part of the struggle for independence. Many countries in the continent (including our neighbors) engaged in liberation struggles but rarely do you see the sense of entitlement by one community/ region like we see here in Kenya.

The right to vote is not conditional, it is guaranteed under Article 38 of our Constitution! Any move that effectively forces Kenyans who registered before 2012 to re-register, in a short period of time, before the next poll raises serious constitutional concerns. Under Articles 81 and 86, the IEBC is obligated to ensure a voting system that is inclusive, transparent, and does not disenfranchise any citizen. Kenyans cannot be punished for administrative transitions within the Commission. The burden must never shift to the voter. Further, the IEBC should confirm or deny that it cannot account for over 20,000 KIEMS kits or the tampering with voters' data on its public portal. The IEBC must urgently convince Kenyans that their move is in good faith and not in any way intended to disenfranchise voters. It should thereafter clarify how it will guarantee that no eligible Kenyan, especially the elderly and those in remote areas, is locked out of the 2027 elections. We remind the IEBC that they have a duty to build, not destroy confidence with the electorate. Kura zetu ni haki yetu. We will not stand by as bureaucratic processes threaten the sovereignty of the people. We will defend that right. #KuraYetuHakiYetu
