Sony has published a patent for dynamically adjusting (nerfing or buffing) players in multiplayer sessions to balance cross-platform like console, PC, and mobile. The technology would monitor hardware, input methods, and skill levels in real time Then nerf or buff players, such as by reducing speed or reaction times for console and PC users to balance disadvantages faced by mobile players using touch controls.

@AriSchulman There’s a 0% chance they didn’t know where these were coming from or where the control signals were originating from. If you flip on a transmitter in the US, SIGINT stations are seeing you immediately. Esp near a military base 🙄

This should be the biggest story in the country right now. Barksdale is the HQ for our B52 nuclear bombers, it's where Bush sheltered on 9/11, and the drones are reported as "far more sophisticated than anything seen in Ukraine ... and well beyond Iranian capabilities."

@aakashgupta Isn’t the answer to use this model to fix the software in ways it wouldn’t be capable of exploiting? Use it against itself, the end.

We are so cooked. Anthropic just accidentally leaked its most powerful AI model because someone forgot to lock a blog CMS. They’re warning it could “outpace the efforts of defenders” in cybersecurity. Do you understand what just happened?? Close to 3,000 unpublished files were sitting in a publicly accessible data store.. Draft blog posts, PDFs, details of a secret CEO retreat at an 18th-century English manor. Anyone could find them. Anthropic’s response? “Human error.” The leaked documents describe a new model tier above Opus. Dramatically better than anything that exists. Their own internal draft says it’s “far ahead of any other AI model in cyber capabilities.” Anthropic confirmed it’s real. They called it “a step change.” They are terrified of their own model. CrowdStrike dropped 7%. Palo Alto Networks fell 6%. Cybersecurity ETF down 6% in a single session, now 20%+ on the year. Bitcoin slid from $70K to $66K overnight. $20 billion in market cap vaporized over a draft blog post about something that hasn’t even shipped yet. A $380 billion company with $20+ billion in revenue is telling you, in their own leaked words, that the thing they built will break the internet’s defenses faster than anyone can patch them. They wrote that down. In a blog draft. Then left the blog draft unlocked on the internet. Every script kiddie with API access is about to become a state-level threat actor.. Every firewall vendor is about to become a legacy vendor.. Every “we take security seriously” banner on every SaaS login page is about to age like milk. Sleep well tonight.

@Hellen__TK I was pleasantly surprised how much fun it is to play. Lmk what you think whenever you get a chance to watch some gameplay vids or play it yourself.

Legislators: “fork over your ID to protect kids or you can’t use the internet.” Hackers: “we’ll take it from here.” 1 billion records. 203 million Americans. The age-verification mandate is the vulnerability.
NetChoice@NetChoice

🚨🚨 @FoxNews: 1 BILLION identity records exposed in ID verification data leak — INCLUDING +203 MILLION America records Governments requiring Digital ID w/ "age verification" mandates create MASSIVE security risks The threat is NOT hypothetical. Another unfortunate example:

🚨BREAKING: This open source tool generates entire Minecraft worlds from real-world map data. It's called Arnis. You pick any location on Earth. Arnis builds it block by block in Minecraft. No mods. No world editors. No manual building. Just real geography. Here's how it works: → You select any area on the map using a rectangle tool → It pulls geospatial data from OpenStreetMap → Processes real-world elevation and terrain data → Maps every building, road, river, and landscape to Minecraft blocks → Generates a fully playable Java or Bedrock Edition world Here's the wildest part: It doesn't just flatten everything into a 2D grid. It reconstructs actual topography. Hills, valleys, coastlines. Real elevation data turned into Minecraft terrain. You can generate your hometown. Tokyo. Manhattan. The Swiss Alps. Anything OpenStreetMap has data for. Tom's Hardware, Hackaday, and XDA Developers all covered it. It even got cited in an academic paper on using Minecraft for flood preparedness education. Written in Rust. Ships with a full GUI. Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. 32 contributors. 746 forks. 8,100+ GitHub stars. 100% Open Source.

this guy vibe coded an AI SURVIVAL APP that works COMPLETELY OFFLINE the app > gives you survival advice completely offline > cites exact pages from manuals stored on the device > has offline maps so you're never lost > lets you text people up to 50 miles away with no cell service it started off as an app but now he's selling physical devices it's waterproof, under 3 pounds, and strong enough that you can run it over with a car the app hit 14k users and became the world's #1 rated survival AI which is insane

this is actually insane > be tech guy in australia > adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live > not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4 > pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA > feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold > zero background in biology > identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets > design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch > genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own > need ethics approval to administer it > red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine > 3 months, finally approved > drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection > tumor halves > coat gets glossy again > dog is alive and happy > professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?” one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline. we are going to cure so many diseases. I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

ADHD: "I'm not sensitive — I just noticed the thing nobody else mentioned and now I can't un-notice it." Autism: "I'm not sensitive — the thing was genuinely wrong and I was the only one willing to say so." AuDHD: "I'm not sensitive — I felt it, named it, explained it twice, and then got told I was overreacting. So now I clock it and move TF on." Declassified documents show the U.S. military released 282,800 lone star ticks made radioactive with Carbon-14 across Virginia between 1966 and 1969, tracking their spread with Geiger counters. Before these experiments, lone star ticks did not exist above the Mason-Dixon Line. A CIA operative described dropping infected ticks on Cuban sugarcane workers from C-123 transport aircraft during Operation Mongoose in 1962. When he returned home, his four month old son developed a life-threatening fever. His CIA commander told him to "burn all the clothes you took to Cuba. Burn everything." Defense Secretary Robert McNamara authorized Project 112 that same year, creating a bioweapons program "almost as large and secretive as the Manhattan Project" with facilities capable of breeding 100 million infected mosquitoes per month. The military denied the program's existence for 50 years until CBS News forced acknowledgment in 2000. Plum Island Animal Disease Center sits 13 miles from Lyme, Connecticut. From 1952 to 1969, the Army Chemical Corps ran biological warfare research there, frequently conducting experiments outdoors with acknowledged containment failures. Deer from Lyme regularly swam to Plum Island and back. Willy Burgdorfer, the scientist who discovered the Lyme disease bacterium in 1982, spent most of his career developing tick-borne biological weapons. In 2013 video testimony, he confirmed participation in bioweapons research and hinted at an accidental release. He also discovered a second pathogen in Lyme patient blood samples that was completely omitted from his landmark study for over 40 years. Now the lone star tick is spreading alpha-gal syndrome across the country, making people allergic to meat. In 2019, the House passed an amendment requiring the Pentagon to investigate whether the military experimented with weaponized ticks between 1950 and 1975. The results have not been made public.

Not doom posting, just a channel update in my same candid, honest words. Regardless of what’s coming to Borderlands, and based on some unconfirmed info I’ve received behind the scenes, I am so mentally checked out and dread playing this game that I don’t feel like I can meaningfully add anything to this space (including Build Battles) without sacrificing my own wellbeing and genuine enjoyment of video games and content creation. With that being said, I will no longer be covering/making Borderlands content nor providing feedback for the game. I truly appreciate everyone that has joined me on this journey, but for my own wellbeing, this is farewell. I love all of you, I understand any unfollows and appreciate the ones that stick around. New channel and content inbound. I can’t wait to share more soon. 🫡

🚨FYI: Gavin Newsom has already signed California Assembly Bill 1043 which mandates that operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD implement system-level age (identity) verification. This takes effect on January 1st, 2027. Colorado also has a similar act called SB26-051 which is currently advancing through the committees and ready for full Senate consideration. It would come into effect on January 1st, 2028 if passed. Utah, Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama all currently have app layer verification laws, but not OS level YET. So OS level verification isn't a future thing. It's happening now. They are chokepointing the internet. Enjoy these days.
