@GTWScar But Medicare explicitly covers wheelchairs (powered or manual) under specific conditions per medicare.gov/Pubs/pdf/11046… (revised June 2022). I would question if they are really following Medicare guidelines.

Reason for denials, CMS doesn’t pay for these items anymore, nor do we now. As an insurance company, we follow Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Congress set new rules a few years ago and now insurance companies are following them. What a great system of wonderful caring people

I’ve paid $13,000+ in premiums, co-pays, and out-of-pocket fees just in this year alone. Do you think in somewhere in all of those bills and payments I could’ve got my wheelchair am I shower chair covered? Nope, after six months back-and-forth it’s all been denied…

@MathsCityLeeds I saw @standupmaths video with your big bubble device. His measurements were awkward. Have you considered affixing a ruler to the inside faces of the supports and another across the diameter to allow patrons to measure their bubbles easier?
