@rockstarcoder @rushicrypto They plan on culling the herd
English

@rushicrypto Have you noticed billionaires seem giddy about AI, data centers, and replacing people with robots-- while telling average workers they won't need jobs or money after they're laid off? It's bizarre.
Even more bizarre: many are taking the bait.
English

Are billionaires actually insane?
They’re dumping billions into AI, building data centers everywhere, laying off thousands of workers, and acting like none of this will have consequences.
Everybody with a normal job can feel what’s coming. People are terrified. And there’s basically no safety net if it all collapses.
It honestly feels like they’re racing toward some massive crisis while hoping we stay distracted until it’s too late.
English

@JoshuaAndrews72 @lanechanged Wow what crawled up your ass and died. Get over yourself. Settle down and take a step outside your magical little town and witness what's really going on in the world.
English

Where the fuck do you live where no one is hiring right now? Shoot, even my job just had a massive open house/job fair yesterday. You people are blind as a bat to reality, shoot, I can pull up the Indeed App right now and see countless jobs in my county listed. Do you all just have no skills whatsoever and therefore can’t get hired anywhere? 😂
English

@JoshuaAndrews72 @lanechanged You sooooo full of shite 🤣🤡
English

I can walk down the street right now and almost every single business has a hiring sign up: gas stations, restaurants, stores, entertainment facilities, hospitals, law enforcement, emergency responders, the list goes on and on. AI isn’t replacing 99% of jobs in our lifetime, and anyone claiming otherwise is an idiot that doesn’t have a clue how expensive advanced robotics with custom AI programming are 😂
English

@lanechanged Let’s be real here, the people that get “Put out of work” will just be reallocated to other jobs. You would have to be brain dead in order to be incapable of finding work in today’s job market.
English

So everyone's getting laid off again.
If you were just laid off from your job, I've got a little unconventional advice for ya:
Do not start looking for a job the next day, or even the next week. And if you can afford it? Take an entire month off.
Now, listen—I know we're all in different financial situations, and an incredibly significant portion of our country lives paycheck to paycheck. But I'm also incredibly sure you're wildly stressed out, work too much, maybe even lost a bit of yourself in the grind. You've gotta give yourself a moment.
When I went through my first lay-off, I immediately started looking for jobs, and luckily got interviews the very same week. Anddd I was not emotionally ready, and my exhaustion showed, and I even ghosted some interview opportunities. I was totally fried and badly needed a break.
Most lay-offs come with some form of severance & paid out vacation days. I beg you, take that time for yourself. Catch up on sleep. See your kids. Pick up a hobby. Go to the gym. Be a person who doesn't dream of labor. You'll be 1000x healthier for it, have more clarity with what you're looking for, and be far more likely to land the next gig.
Keep in mind: you will never have this much time again. The second you get your next job, it's back to 8-10 hour days. I know NOT having a job can be stressful, but you've gotta take as much time as you can.
English

@BuildAfterWork @jappleby This is a bad take. People panic in a shitty job market where they know it can take months or yrs to find a job...any job. There r more unemployed people than jobs available. People "identify" with having roof over their head and to not be homeless.
English

You are right, one of the most damaging things modern work culture did was make people feel guilty for resting.
Some people lose their jobs and panic not because they’re lazy but because their entire identity was tied to productivity.
A layoff isn’t just financial stress.
For many people, it feels like losing purpose, routine, status, and stability all at once.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do after burnout is stop running for a moment and remember you’re a human being before you’re an employee.
English

@asteroidsfred @BamSullivan And oversaturation driving down those wages
English

@BamSullivan Hard to imagine an AI roughing in the plumbing on a 100 year old house bathroom.
There will good high paying jobs in skilled trades for a very long time to come
English

@mcguinnessfortx @rrbelloff @AllegedlyDrew Yes it is and has been ...just much much faster now. And what new jobs? Sweeping the floors of data centers? Or maintenance of AI which could not provide enough jobs for a majority of the population. AI is shortsighted and will flounder
English

@rrbelloff @AllegedlyDrew AI isn't taking the jobs. Just like every technology before it, it will displace some jobs but create new ones in the mix. AI will add to prosperity.

@US_Veteran4Life @riverrat328 He sold out because he can't run again so he's only looking out for himself.
English

@riverrat328 My friend he sold out. I left his camp when he called Epstein a Hoax.
English

@BarefootStudent Temporary until the build is over and they will be out of a job. And those centers are not going to create anywhere near the amount of meaningful jobs needed for the people cut loose to fund the builds. There is no upside to any of this... ZERO
English

@RolfHaltza @nimbledick2026 They also don't want you if you're currently employed. In the past they did but now they see it as a red flag and a risk that you'll leave. Damned if you do damned if you don't. Both are stupid.
English

@nimbledick2026 Doesn't work either. They want people who will be consistent workers. You starting some company makes you a flight risk.
English

@acidiclemon2 @InspireAmbitio @jeremyct Nowadays they do....are you on the same continent as the rest of the world?
English

@InspireAmbitio @jeremyct Normal candidates don't have 3 years of unemployment.
English

@jeremyct He should have accepted the job offer as it is.
And look for something better when newly employed. It’s easier to find a job when already employed
English

@VirtualShawnK @w_terrence Funny 🤣 you think an AI data center needs more than a handful of humans to work in it after is built.
English

What a lot of people in rural areas fail to realize, you have places like Tyson and Purina trying to buy land to make low wage, low worker class products in their back yard. Happened where I live. But everyone loses their shit when a multibillion dollar data center with high paying white collar and very lucrative blue collar construction opportunities come to rural areas. Do you want your children making minimum wage at a dog food factory or making 6 figures in a modern AI factory? Wisen up people.
English

Are you for or against AI data centers?
AI data centers are being built all across America, and people are divided.
Supporters say they bring jobs, innovation, technology, and billions of dollars in investment.
Others say they use too much electricity, too much water, and could drive up costs for regular families.

English

@SebastianPott10 @linmeitalks You’re not likely to be on the telephone if you’re on the school run or clearing up after an elderly parent /sick child etc.
English

WORKING FROM HOME ARGUMENT
I honestly can’t see the justification for making people return to the office if you are not customer facing/ front line staff
You want people to pay excessive amounts on travel, waste hours travelling for what ?
To sit next to you while you say 4 words all day.
For those who don’t do their work, monitor them and tell them they have to attend the office 4 days a week for a PIP and you’ll see how quickly they’ll improve…. but if someone’s is hitting targets and doing their work, while making it easier to be a better mother or father or carer to elderly parents, by being present doing the school run, attending after school activities on time and getting a home cooked meal prepared for their family why stop that ??
English

@Eric_Schmitt In your home state of Missouri, Centene is massively overstaffed with H1Bs. They are laying off Americans and keeping them.
English

@unusual_whales My financial situation. .NO ONES financial situation will matter if we get nuked....nice quoting out of context though rage baiter
English

@Govindtwtt Not just young adults. You think all these 100s of thousands laid off especially over the last 4yrs are young? Young people aren't the only ones that have obligations with bills attached to them.
English

@But0why0Bitcoin @JesterJum All you did here was put yourself on a pedestal while making it everyone's else fault for not succeeding like you .. which is scummy. Not everyone's circumstances are like yours and even less so if resources are not within reach. Gross.
English

Most likely you had the opportunity to do better but decisions, often unpopular, have to be made to make it happen. Most who are well off aren't born into wealth. Had I had a good and fair boss, I'd probably never got there.
I'm not wealthy but I decided I didn't like working for other people, I felt like a slave. I wanted to own a business in my 20's. I got to the party late, becoming a business owner in 1999 nearing 40 but I made it, thanks to my asshole boss, a red head with a temper.
I was nearing 40, family, kids and had about given up on my dream. You know, life was pretty good, I was making great money. However, one day my boss was in a foul mood, unbeknownst to me. I walked into his office to tell him they had screwed up on my paycheck, again. He told me if I didn't like it they would "find someone who would". I exited the office, spoke to my coworker about it who told me it was possible to get my license there. My prior state was much more difficult. So I made my decision to try again.
II got up a plan to get licensed in the electrical field which is what I had always done. I talked to the licensing board at the state office, got my books to study, sat in my apartment or sat in the sun and studied, every day and night after work.
Prior to this, I was doing the right things to provide for my wife and kids, until she kicked me out for her coworker.
Instead of not paying my bills when due, hitting the party scene and ruining my credit, I chose not to.
Instead of going to the pool on Saturday and checking out the ladies, I chose not to.
I DID WITHOUT A LOT OF FUN, but I was determined and focused, and it paid off.
Then I signed up to take the test, passed it after 9 months of study, received my state license to be a contractor. Took a year of self study.
So regardless of where you are RIGHT NOW, provided you're able to study, are reasonably smart, find something and go after it, make that a priority and change your life.
English

Probably gonna make some people mad with this one, but I dont feel like 90% of us make enough money to even care about the economy crashing.
Everybody is like "The stock market is gonna crash! Share prices are going down!" And im over here like I never got a share in the first place.
"The housing market is plummeting!" Good....maybe then we can actually buy a house.
"No one's ever gonna be able to afford a new car!" Cool....I've literally never owned a new car and they are horrible investments.
I want to be in a tax bracket where I can actually care...ya know?
