Fable two weeks ago: Built me 3 apps in 12 hrs based on an existing app I have, almost no errors, just the time it took to code and hook things up. Fable Today: Can barely stay consistent with feedback/recommendations within a single chat WHY

Right before Apple went public, Steve Wozniak (@stevewoz) had a private investor ready to pay him a couple million dollars for his stock. He sold those shares to about 80 Apple engineers and marketing people instead. The Woz Plan, on tape in 1992: "I had a private investor that was willing to buy a certain amount of stock from me. And I could get a couple million dollars and be really, you know, secure for a long time and have a nicer house." "I thought, well, if I'm going to sell it to some outside investor and this company looks like the hot thing going. Why don't I sell it to the inside people who are helping make the company, you know, and don't really, you know, have stock." "So I sold it to engineers and marketing people at Apple, limited the number of shares they could each buy so some guy couldn't try to get rich." "Yeah, the Woz Plan, sold stock in the company to about 80 people. Just took up a list, you could have two thousand shares each." His autobiography iWoz puts the price at $5 a share. "Many, many of them, over the years, are very fulfilling, that they wrote me and said it enabled them to buy a house, was the usual response. And I always felt good about that. And no one has ever done anything like that. It was very strange, our, our lawyers were a little scared about letting that one even happen, I think." Wozniak was ready to take the money. The deal never changed, the couple million, the price an investor would have happily paid, all of it. He only changed who got to be the buyer. When the option plan excludes people who built the company, use your own stake to correct it instead of waiting for the board. Steve Wozniak (@stevewoz), The Machine That Changed the World, WGBH, 1992 Founders: if you want your X to do this for your business, check the first reply.

For yall at home, HuggingFace reported an attack that they could not defend with OpenAI or Anthropic models, due to guardrails, so they fell back to using GLM 5.2 to protect themselves from the attackers. The attackers? Turns out it was OpenAI running an ExploitGym eval

@DavidSacks We had this experience ourselves this week! Very scary to be guardrailed as a defender when you know attackers are likely bypassing

@DavidSacks @zerohedge Does taking this approach by Oai and Anthro fundamentally put them back in the race? They won’t be collecting this data but kimi will?

Kimi K3 just fixed 15 critical security bugs that Codex and Fable refused because of “cyber guardrails.” There’s no reason to limit American models on tasks that Chinese models handle without issue. We’re only making ourselves less competitive.
calle@callebtc

I have a report full of security issues of a software I'm working on. Codex won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Fable won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Kimi K3 fixed them all. No restrictions, just gets the job done. This will end badly for OpenAI & Anthropic.

I'm nearly positive one potential reason for why folks own thousands of acres of land is because they use the GIS site and then they start zooming out and feel inadequate so they just buy more for a bigger square of pixels
