@Acyn @abbydphillip’s show starts with something like, “Americans aren’t talking to each other, but — here — they do”
… except the show then proceeds to be nothing more than pundits talking past each other, parroting their respective party’s talking points
Just not a good format
English

Wow Scott Jennings blows up at Adam Mockler: “Get your fucking hand out of my face”
Mockler: We all know that Scott Jennings is more than happy to defend a war with a country that starts with letters Ira that we are currently failing that is going to put us trillions and trillions of dollars more in debt. I was only a few years old while you were in the administration defending prior endless wars.

@JSX423 Honestly, this is an appropriate place to invoke an LLM.
Tesla defines the fine-grained categories, the user simply explains what happened using their voice, and the LLM classifies the case appropriately.
English

I was going to mock this up but done correctly would take awhile ... And not really worth it.
Tapping an icon after DE or intervention could bring this full screen menu up to dial in the reason - which would almost become like a keyboard to those familiar of the categories and placement on screen.
English

The biggest issue I have with the disengagement reason menu probably is the average person paying $100/mth just wants FSD to work. Not be a mandatory tester otherwise having UI elements blocked if FSD does something wrong.
My 77 year old mom ain't your tester, @tesla_ai.
4 categories don't even come close to being enough to work.
Actual capable testers, interested in these things,
should sign up and get a full screen with 50+ categories..

@wayne_m159 Footage and “exact moment” are mutually exclusive 😅

@ChuckCook @Tesla_AI — the UI options need to be explantory, too
I disengaged because …
[ ] Oops! I didn’t mean to!
[ ] A routing issue
[ ] Speed was inappropriate
[ ] I didn’t feel comfortable
[ ] About to hit something
English

There is no doubt in my mind, this build stopped because of the early reception of this horribly implemented data collection screen. The popup didn't even match the UI schema. Its weird, like such an after thought. There is no way this was tested or QA'd for feedback. No way. @Tesla_AI I love each of you, but this isn't you.
ΛI DRIVR@AIDRIVR
idea for disengagement reporting instead of prompting the driver while they’re actively driving, show disengagements after the drive ends (after it shifts into Park) you could even allow them to type specific feedback / voice note if they select “Other”
English

@AIDRIVR Love this idea. I do wish they would break 'Critical' into'Safety' and 'Illegal'
English

@AIDRIVR This same general approach would be great for correcting speed limits, too!
Tap the speed limit sign while driving => records quick dashcam clip, triggers this “Review UI” upon trip completion

@PattersonSonny @nahuelhilal @Tesla @Tesla_AI Touché
I still think an autonomous bus variant of the Semi would make sense between cities, seeing as they’ve already stood up the necessary production lines
English

@DanShevenell @nahuelhilal @Tesla @Tesla_AI Most car trips are short. You get a lot more TAM from short trips.
English

Yesterday I drove my @tesla 900 miles on FSD from Miami to Nashville and I realized it’s genuinely the better option.
I fly that route 2 to 3 times a month. Flights are never under $400. Most times $600. Sometimes $800.
Add Uber to and from both airports, or parking garage fees. Then factor in the delays, the cancellations, the security theater, the chaos, the guy next to you who hasn’t met deodorant yet.
On the other hand: I pack healthy snacks, press one button, and the car just goes.
I took calls. Replied to emails. FaceTimed my family. Ate without pulling over. Did everything I normally do on a travel day, except none of the stuff that makes travel days miserable.
My biggest concern going in was range and charging. Here’s what actually happened:
My bladder needed one extra stop the car didn’t even suggest. Most charging stops were under five minutes. Total cost for the whole trip was less than just the uber to the airport.
And this was the base model Y.
Now I’m thinking I should get something comfier and just make this the default.

@TheMaineWonk @Polymarket “According to” is a bizarre way to frame anything from a betting site

According to @Polymarket: Democrats are now favored to win both the House and Senate in the midterms.

@JakeSherman Secretary doesn’t have really any bearing on this
