Two different arguments from two different legal experts. The first one is Minister⁩ of Justice Hon Ziyambi Ziyambi. The second one is Professor Lovemore Madhuku ( NCA President and University of Zimbabwe lecturer). Who is telling us the correct legal route for CAB3 ?

Cabinet has approved the Research Amendment Bill, presented by Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi. The bill amends the Research Act to establish a Research Authority of Zimbabwe and a Research Fund. It also sets a national target of at least 1% of GDP for research and development funding. The Fund will support innovation, technology adaptation, and human resource development to strengthen the country’s research capabilities. #PostCabinetBriefing

From 2027, Zimbabwe will require every school without exception to register its learners for ZIMSEC examinations. The era of parallel foreign examination systems operating outside our national framework is over. It's mandatory for all students to write ZIMSEC. However, schools wishing to offer both ZIMSEC and Cambridge should apply for permission to do so provided there is justification for it. This is not an attack on academic excellence. We are not banning Cambridge examinations .This is an assertion of national sovereignty over our own Education System. Zimbabwe's children deserve to be assessed on a common, uniform standard one that this government controls, benchmarks, and continuously improves. For too long, a two-tier system has told some children that their futures are validated in Cambridge and told others that ZIMSEC is somehow second best. That ends now. Private institutions operating on Zimbabwean soil have a clear directive: align with the national framework. This is not negotiable. Government policy is unambiguous comply or fall out of step with the direction this Republic is moving. We are building one education system. One standard. One Zimbabwe. Every child regardless of the school they attend or the uniform they wear deserves equal recognition under a national framework that belongs to all of us.All School Kids are the same.

On my way from an exciting holiday in Zambia I had an unpleasant experience with a Zambian Police Assistant Inspector along the Chirundu Highway who wanted to robe us in broad daylight. He flagged us down 15 km from the border and without explaining any charge demanded that we turn the car back and drive to Lusaka. We asked what the issue was but he couldn't explain and yet demanded 1000 Kwacha if he would leave us. We refused, gave him my passport and will be making a formal charge against him to Zambia Police Service. It's shocking how corruption is eroding public services to this shocking point in our countries. @DailyNationZM @QfmZambia @zadama24 @Zambia_Reports @ZambianObserver @ZP_service @PoliceZamb61410

@nickmangwana @InfoMinZW Why are you disrepecting Prof Madhuku @ProfMadhuku? He is a law Professor. He teaches law! He can't be debating with people like Linda and Ziyambi, you should find some lower-level legal students not Prof Madhuku

LEGACY OF INDEPENDENCE Maphisa District will now enjoy enhanced access to FM radio signals after Transmedia upgraded transmission infrastructure in the area. This initiative is part of the Independence legacy projects. Previously, the community relied on reception from Gwanda and Plumtree. The upgrade is in line with the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services mandate to broaden information access within rural communities through the expansion of the national broadcasting network.

CHEGUTU The Parliament of Zimbabwe today facilitated a public hearing on the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Number 3 Bill at Chegutu Council Hall. A large turnout gathered to present their views on the Amendment Bill. The majority expressed support for the Bill, fully endorsing the extension of the term of office for the President, as well as for Members of Parliament, councillors, and chiefs, to seven years. Below are some of the reasons raised by the public: · Development in various sectors attributed to the Second Republic, hence the need for a seven-year term to consolidate and sustain these gains. · The implementation of Education 5.0 has transformed the education sector; an extended term allows for the continuation and further implementation of such policies. · The extension from five to seven years provides sufficient time for the attainment of Vision 2030. · A seven-year term allows the country to better recover from the financial costs associated with elections, as compared to a five-year cycle.

A referendum can only be held if the law dictates that rather than because of political sentiments. Absent a specific provision mandating its necessity, the call for such a vote lacks justification. It is untenable to initiate a referendum solely based on the opinions of a particular faction.

🔸So why are you afraid of a referendum? Take it to a vote to prove the Bill has widespread support. Hearing the views of 30 hired guns cannot be a proper expression of the will of the people? Why are others being abducted for challenging the Bill? We need new leaders.🇿🇼

#CAB3 has been resoundingly given a thumbs up in Bulawayo, the heart of the opposition, as reports indicate that the majority of attendees raised points in support while a few disagreed. Of the 39 people who contributed 32 supported while only 7 opposed. The Bill indeed has commendable ideas which anyone refraining from the poison of political polarity or factionalism will support. Unfortunately many recycle copied arguments without investing in personal interactions with these documents. Even more, social media doesn't attend these hearings! What I'm proud of is that there have been no reports of violence. That is commendable and a manifest show of our matured democracy as a country. For now, Zanu PF 1- 0 Social Media. #CAB3 Bhoo! 2030, VaMnangagwa neZanu PF vanenge vachitonga!

Spoke about this on the TikTok yesterday. And as Hopewell says - nobody wants to annihilate Chamisa. It’s why the recorded calls have gone from 20s to 60s. But the call itself is 10+ mins. Chamisa knows the deal he tried to do with Auxillia. A deal that is still in place. It’s his right to make a deal for himself. But as long as he then sends folks to attack people that know the truth and have accepted it and now choose to fight other battles - he invites them to set record straight. I wanted to release it last night but took the counsel of my Mrs not to retaliate to personal battles with things like that. He has got his deal. That’s fine. But he should then not attack or have attacked people doing their best to fight an amendment that will now sail through.
Hopewell Chin’ono@daddyhope

@promisep10 @mawarirej @nelsonchamisa I confirm that. I do not know why these guys are pretending otherwise. It was meant to be private, but when you attack people with lies, they are forced to release evidence to establish the truth. If they continue, more will come.

Well, it seems like you missed what I meant by that. So here is the thing, Tshabangu is the reason why we no longer have representatives in Parliament, he is the reason why ZanuPF has a two-thirds majority. Tshabangu is a creation of failure from CCC leaders, including Nelson Chamisa. If CCC had structures, dai Tshabangu asina kunyuka kunge hwowa, dai ZanuPF isina a two-thirds majority, dai tiine mukana wakakura wekurwisa this 2030 nonsense tichibatsirwa nema parliamentarians edu atakavhotera. But Nelson Chamisa, together with other CCC leaders, vana Biti, destroyed CCC, and all the MPs who were voted for by the people got recalled because of these leaders s stupid blunders. So now that we are here, why not focus on uniting and try to defend the constitution rather than demonizing Biti and making Chamisa a saint when, in actual fact, they all contributed to this nonsense.

Under the Zimbabwean Constitution, a national referendum is only required for amendments that affect the Declaration of Rights (Chapter 4) , the provisions on Agricultural Land (Chapter 16) , or the Constitutional Amendment procedure itself (Section 328) #CAB3
