Was once in an (American) Irish pub. Big sign on the wall in Gaelige. My friend asked me to translate it. I did, slowly. The waitress, overhearing, was astounded.
"No one can read that. You must be Irish!"

Their order was taken and shortly after the owner or manager went and asked them very politely to leave the premises as they were not welcome, that their presence was upsetting other customers and would they inform their colleagues they are not welcome either, As they walked out the door tail between their legs people clapped and cheered it was surreal.

I said this at the time: if the Democrats had just calmed tf down in 2020 and let Trump be a normal two-termer like all previous presidents going back to 1992, then he'd have been done in 2024 and Pence would have lost badly in the election that year. 2024-32 is the Amy Klobuchar Era (or whatever) in this scenario.
Instead, by forcing the '20 election down a politically unnatural, excessively "tryhard" path (mail-ins, riots, etc), the Democrats manufactured what may wind up being a 16-year or even 20-year Trump Era, if Vance has success.

You're not wrong. I travel to a town just across the border with Mexico often. Plenty of restaurants, they serve cheeseburgers. But I get requests, often: Please bring me an American bacon cheeseburger. They don't mean a fast food burger. They mean a restaurant-style burger with lots of melted cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato.

Back in Minnesota we had stand downs every year to connect vets to services. There was a LOT of help, eager help, at these events.
