My worst teacher habit is putting a million pens in my pocket during the day, taking them home with me and not bringing them back.

@MissEmmaTurner I’m conscious that I’ve barely taught them recently (residential/meetings/PPA) and they played up for the cover. Maybe I should ask cover if she wants me to tell them or not.

@mrHtweets Ahh I always try to let my class know if I’m not there and who will be. Feel like it helps everyone ahead. (It would me and my daughter). Tricky when I don’t know your context and if you’ll be able to provide that detail for them.

I’ve got a day off coming up end of the week. I’ve managed to get through my career without taking one before. Do you tell my class I won’t be in the day before or not?

@mrHtweets Without (anyone here) needing to know the ins and outs, put in a request for said date. Especially with you never taking time, I’m sure all will be well and authorised and that you’ve taken enough time to let them arrange the appropriate cover.

@mrHtweets Having rewritten it twice, I decide that enough was enough! It was too similar to q2, leading you to believe you were going about it wrong! I decided enough was enough, hence hit submit!

@HTMISTERK We do the same but midweek. This year less than half are going. Three years ago it was 75%. Soon we won’t be able to justify running it at all.

We do PGL for the long weekend in September as it’s better value but even that has increased 45% since we started at this centre 5 years ago. Can’t image what a week in summer costs these days

Does anyone’s primary school buy into an AI package? Chat GPT / TeachMate AI etc. How beneficial to staff find it?

@Mr_S_Cains Hopefully! It’s just part of one lesson rather than the basis of a whole unit but I hope they still get the gist. It works really well with our model text Room 13 and the idea of being drawn towards an object.

For the first time ever I am using Alma from Literacy Shed as a writing stimulus. Why did no-one tell me how creepy and unsettling it is?!

Last day tomorrow. I have had such a class full of characters I’m going to miss them. My work bestie is abandoning me. I step up to become DHT. There are going to be tears. So many tears. 😭😭😭
