Versatile across defensive line positions. Quick off the ball with explosive first step. Controls the line of scrimmage with power and technique. Sheds blockers effectively. Capable of beating double teams. Physical and relentless playing style. Recent Achievements: Emerging as a standout on Marana High School’s defensive front. Consistent performer in early 2025 season games. Noted for disruptive play in local Arizona high school circuits Upcoming Showcase: Expected to participate in regional camps/combines in spring/summer 2025 (specific events TBD) Projection: Justin Elder is a rising prospect in the 2026 class with the tools to develop into a dominant defensive lineman. His combination of strength, explosiveness, and versatility makes him a candidate to anchor a defensive line at the next level. With continued refinement of technique and added size, Elder has the potential to attract attention from Power 5 programs and evolve into a high-impact player. Scouting Notes: Compact frame with room to add functional muscle mass. Explosive get-off disrupts offensive timing. Physicality allows him to hold ground against larger opponents. Versatility to play multiple techniques (3-tech, 5-tech, or nose). High motor and effort on every snap. Academic performance (3.3 GPA) suggests discipline and coachability Bottom Line: Justin Elder is a promising DL prospect for the 2026 class with the raw attributes to become a difference-maker. His ability to control the line, shed blockers, and beat double teams sets him apart as a potential steal for recruiters. As he continues to gain exposure in showcases and camps, Elder’s stock is likely to rise—making him a name to watch in Arizona and beyond!

.@MaranaAthletics junior kicker Peyton Sharp made what proved to be the game-winning FG from 35 yards with 7:32 left. It put the Tigers ahead 17-16 and that score held in the 6A quarterfinal game. Before she tried the kick, she noticed that some of Millennium’s players were going to lift others and she asked the ref if it was legal. He said it was. Despite the distraction of Millennium lifting its players at the line, she nailed the FG.
