@BJMedia1 @coachjohnmalone Coach Hickman and his staff at WNMU does a great job recruiting AZ. As far as the RMAC, they recruit well here. But athletes need to get out of their heads that D1 only mentality.

Arizona could easily have a D2 school. Me and my buddies talk about it all the time OR a nearby D2 needs to stake a flag here and recruit the athletes… IMO, A D2 could be placed in Casa Grande, Maricopa… where else????

@GreggDSchroeder At the end of the day, (football wise) a D2 or Jucos could eat here in AZ. D1s are going in the transfer portal and the top HS guys. The other players need a place to go to school and play. @BJMedia1; let’s put our money and some investors and start a D2 hahahaha.

@GametimeRC So used to be an athletic trainer at Scottsdale CC in the maricopa community college district. We had football. We played Mesa CC and Phoenix college etc. many many players got to D1/D2 from those schools. The cancelled fb as a district maybe 15 years ago now

@GreggDSchroeder Let’s just say football. But I know JUCO in AZ is big with volleyball, baseball, softball… etc.

@GreggDSchroeder I know they have the Hohokam Junior College League. But, Arizona can build something special in the D2 or JC world…

@GametimeRC But they have one of the biggest juco districts in the nation. Probably better competition than some D2.
