So Mr. Alex and his tech are creating one of the craziest plugins for DaVinci Resolve (specifically for beg to intermediate editors) It's called Magic Color. What it looks like he's done is taken all of the complexity of the Color Page and made it simple enough for meatballs like you and me to understand and use directly on the Edit Page. No nodes, just click and use. It's not a scammy LUT pack and looks extreeemely intuitive

@geekypastimes Yeah i need to set some genre defaults. You generally need to specify your project FPS in the question box. That's a tricky one though, as I totally agree with you, but if someone has recorded their gameplay at 24fps for whatever reason... probably best to export it at 24 😂

@MrAlexTech For gaming video it recommends 24fps at 1080p - 8 feel like most people record gameplay at 60fps at higher resolutions so that's a weird recommendation - I would only do 24fps for camera stuff

Idea... its a little rough at the moment but, this feels like a good use of Ai (once, purely to build it, and a fair chunk of manual intervention!) Build this out once, and then everyone is free to use it (usage is no ai!). Let me know your thoughts! resolvetools.mralextech.com

You’re a genius (as always). I would love it if this provided an optional educational feature. Like why we should use these export settings. For those that care, it’d be a huge value add. I think prototyping with A.I. then having heavy human intervention is the best way to make products these days. It gets the best of both worlds!

Yeaaah there's tonnes of reasons to pick up Studio. Blackmagic make most of their income I believe via hardware sales. But plugins like these, don't actually harm Studio sales I don't believe. They just bring more people into the Resolve ecosystem at that entry level, which in the long run, likely results in MORE sales of Studio (or other Blackmagic hardware). Which is why @Blackmagic_News generally are really keen to encourage plugins or tools that make the Free version of Resolve even better. More people on free Resolve = More people in the Blackmagic system = more hardware and studio sales further down the line!

Heyyyy thanks for the shout out 😃 There's a reallllly cool addition coming to the Lite version (for FREE Resolve) which will generate subs for you (no need for capcut workaround!). It's not quite as accurate as the Studio version of Resolve (in timing, word accuracy is spot on) but its pretty good!
