People bicker over whether to call this “third-worldism,” but you do see common propaganda threads here and elsewhere: the ideology is resentment-driven, civilization-skeptical, and obsessed with upending, cathartic violence enacted by the “historically downtrodden” (ie “wretched of the earth”).

Your Eminence, I’ve tried calling you and texting you multiple times since the February 9th hearing on antisemitism which you and Bishop Barron were absent from. I wished to discuss this with you privately. But again, unfortunately, you’ve provided zero response to me. However, today, you publicly made the post which I am replying to now. You have publicly stated that you agree with Bishop Barron’s recently issued statements wholeheartedly. Please answer this question: Why did you say to me in person on September 8th 2025, at 8:26 in the morning, “if they are going to remove you for your support of the Palestinians in Gaza, then they will try to remove me too”? I explained to you at this meeting, that I was being asked to resign from the commission by the White House at the behest of our colleague’s Paula White and Dan Patrick. You expressed that you were shocked I was asked to resign in August because of my Catholic position on Zionism, and outspoken support of innocent human life in Gaza. You fully supported me as indicated by your words. I had expressed to both you and Bishop Barron months before the February hearing that I was asked to be removed from this commission due to my Catholic beliefs and my support of the Palestinians in Gaza. Both of you said that would never happen. But it did. Can you please explain to me and to all Catholics the meaning of this apparent contradiction? If there is no contradiction between what you said to me in August and why I’m presently removed, then please explain. I believe I was removed from the religious liberty commission in February for the same reasons I was asked to resign in August.

Below is a statement that my brother bishop, @BishopBarron – a colleague on the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty –recently issued. His comments are characteristically clear, and I agree wholeheartedly.

@ClaudioMarucchi @xuputTRgMsLXWNu @Dani_Blek @sentdefender It’s funny how some of you believe there can be censorship in civilian areas? The internet hasn’t been shut down like Iran and everyone can post what they want. I’m sure you also believe Netanyahu is dead.

Incredible. Iran launches a missile in remembrance and in honor of Aaron Bushnell. Yesterday they did the same in revenge for Rachel Corrie. Iran is the only government to honor these American heroes, whose deaths have been ignored by US political and media Epstein class.

One thing that the GCC doesn’t get enough credit for, especially the UAE, is that it has become a Victorian School of manners for millions of third worlders. People have learn to obey the law; wait in lines; control anger; learn business; put behind back home primal politics; Indian/Pakistanis are friends; Ethiopian/Eritreans break bread. People take the learning back home too in some capacity. I have not seen an Afghan-American transforming his village as much as a successful Afghan returning back from the GCC, for example.

@CitedNeed In my experience, Budapest is probably the only European capital -together with Prague-, where Jews walk fearless while visible, Israelis are openly Israelis, Jewish life goes without violence, and the Jewish Quarter is not a curated museum for tourists, but a living space.

I hate Orban as much as the next guy, and I'm no fan of Bibi, but let's get real: Ukraine gave arms to jihadis in Syria who went on to mass murder and oppress the Druze, Alawite, Christian and Kurdish communities, and France's perpetual interference in Lebanon has been part of what has kept Hezbollah above water all these years. Europeans have little room to complain about Bibi interfering in their affairs. Don't get me wrong, I actually understand and respect Ukraine's decision, even if I don't like Jolani: Assad was an unparalleled evil, his fall broke the Shia terror axis in two, and Ukraine has real interests at play in the region vis-à-vis their existential fight against Russian imperialism. It doesn't make the outcome on the ground any less distasteful, but i don't resent Ukraine pursuing its interests. France's role, in contrast, is one driven by colonial nostalgia and unbridled ego, not neccessity. Beyond that, many European states have scoffed at - and actively undermined - Israel's own existential struggle with the genocidal Islamic Republic and its proxy network, and have antagonized Israel needlessly as a means of scoring domestic political points. So, while I find Netanyahu's involvement in Hungarian politics in favor of the fat Putinist bozo to be cynical and myopic - and indeed anti-Western - I find the pearl clutching going on across the Continent about it to be a bit rich. Eventually, Bibi and his band of toadies and pet extremists will be replaced by a more sensible government, but Europe will remain mired in problems of its own making - dependence on Russian energy, lackluster investment in self-defense, and self-destruction by ways of mass migration being top-of-mind. Naturally, some Europeans will continue to cast aspersions on the Jews and the Americans as the ultimate source of their problems as a means of coping with their decline. Europe, you can do better than this. It's not too late. Good luck Mr. @magyarpeterMP - I hope you crush the infidelitous Fidesz.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu supports Orban, the enemy of Europe and friend of mass murderer Putin, in the Hungarian parliamentary elections: "I want to thank my friend Viktor Orban. He has been like a rock. We live in turbulent times. We need leaders who can stand up to this rising tide and guarantee security and stability for their countries. And Viktor Orban has that in abundance. I know many world leaders and can say that he is among the best. Viktor Orban stands for stability, security, and protection." Anyone who publicly blesses a Putin ally and EU destroyer in the midst of Russia's war of annihilation against Ukraine has forfeited any moral authority they ever claimed. Netanyahu is no longer "just" controversial. He has become an active accomplice of those who are undermining the democratic West from within—and all in the name of Israel's security. It's hard to imagine anything more tasteless, contradictory, and dangerous.

A foreigner who will leave after a few days romanticizing the experience of a prolonged general blackout, as millions of residents' lives are reduced to a neverending struggle to keep going just one more day, really does make me see red. That and the fucking word "resilience"
