Compared to the previous Digimon Beatbreak arc, Kyo might mostly be a support during the GIFT Arc. But, there'll be one episode focusing on Maki that will show her past, which means past Kyo will also appear, and we might learn about their relationship.

@BlueIkeTweets I wonder if he's referring to the anime or manga, because I think that he was the one who came up with the Homeostasis Agent for Time Stranger (which apparently got a lot of flak) and possibly Chronomon's backstory which was clearly based on the manga Xros Bagramon.

Functionally yes, but the ending of Survive was already pretty upfront it’d be 02 adjacent had it continued & Habu, from what I can tell, didn’t like XW so he’d probably fight tooth & nail not to include anything resembling Taiki & DigiXros in the gritty Adventure remake.

@Gtber1 If Naito's backstory in the X Space is anything to go by, as well as the comments regarding character episodes revealing settings from past interviews, I'm almost sure that character details and relationships were already decided, they just were unsure how they would portray them

Digimon Beatbreak is written like a weekly manga series. Future story events aren't fully decided beforehand; the story is being constantly written as they make episodes, and based on fan comments from social media. Even things like the Tactics finale weren't set in stone.

@RavelMonte Don't believe that it's just 49 episodes unless there is a second season. 49 would be ridiculous and if it is so people need to see if there is a conspiracy.
Most of the seasons are given at least 50 episodes and these were for faster pacing seasons like Adventure or Frontier.

IIRC, the writer of Digimon Ghost Game revealed he was working in the ending the dah of the broadcast of Episode 42, so 25 episodes from the ending.
Production environment is completely different, but a similar timing since this interview could fit the 49 total that was leaked.

When Beatbeak's last episode airs, we will be able to see where it stands in the history of Digimon. They hope that it's a work that every viewer will enjoy. So far 95% of the script of the series has been written, they are working in the last episode discussing what to do.

@BlueIkeTweets Also as far as I know, at least Last Evolution Kizuna is a step-up compared to Digimon Adventure Tri which is the absolute nadir. Even Appmon is more well-received than Tri.

That’s pretty much it, and you see it a fair bit with Beatbreak and Ghost Game also, neither of which moved the needle or is even surpassing Pokémon, which is what part of this whittled down to also. Also Tri, Kizuna, & TB kinda suck to most. Even JP fans aren’t that fond of them

Could be way off but my in opinion... I believe with each of these 'continuation' projects, there is a hope among the fans that THIS ONE will bring Digimon BACK to the height of its popularity in the early 2000s. Thinking this way, the projects are destined to disappoint.
