This reminds me of the Brennan Manning quote in the beginning of that DC Talk album where he says that the greatest single cause of atheism in the world is other Christians. It's just not true. And it's extremely subversive.

Is it Christ or is it politics?" My answer: Exactly. The fruit is exactly why we are addressing these things. If ten-thousand pastors started boldly addressing egalitarianism, feminism, and liberalism with force and particularity tomorrow, the fruit would be incredible. Would it be hard for them? Yes. But the bible says: ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16, 18 ESV “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2 ESV “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 ESV “This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4 ESV I can’t deny these concepts for a different interpretation.

It is my opinion that saying “God loves us all,” and “Jesus died for us all,” reminds us to love all. If God only loves “some” and only died for “some”, it can be very easy to twist that theology into “only my race and nationality matter!” And that opens the floodgates.

@TheMuppetPastor @ElifNull The main issue is the denial of the doctrine of hell. Hell is our default destination. Romans 6:23 Christs redemption on the elect is the only salvation. We are saved by God from the wrath of God.
