This goal was ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper by Van Dijk 👀 What the actual F**k

A couple years ago, I got a call from an unknown number. Ignored it, then it rang again, and again. Finally picked up. It was a guy named Aaron. He'd found Live Oak Lake and was convinced I was the person to talk to. @alcook21 runs a regenerative & organic lamb company called Capra, selling in Whole Foods and all over the country. He'd just bought an 800 acre ranch about an hour from me in central texas and had a vision: Build a place where Capra customers could meet the sheep, see what natural grazing is doing to the land and ecosystem, and stay on a real ranch-- in style and comfort. As it turned out I was just building out a program & community to help others do what I'd done. Aaron joined early. Through the group, he met a number of folks who helped him brand, design, and build it. And a couple days ago, I got to go see for myself. Skydrift is special. Four cabins dried in, roads and utilities complete. Four more in the works. Aaron's crowdfunding half a million to finish them out, just like Tanner & Melissa did (see my thread from Tuesday). Seeing something beautiful take shape on that land is exactly why I took the reputational & financial risk to build out the experiential hospitality masterclass & community two years ago. This is why - real people building real things in the real world, and I get to play a small part in each. We now have over 300 members all over the country doing the same. If you're investing in experiential destinations like this, you're still early.
