Sorry for the delay in commenting. I was getting prepared to go on CBS Sports to talk Ryan Silverfield and Arkansas, but they decided Florida and Auburn hires were way more interesting and decided last minute not to have me on. I can't say I blame them. I'd bump me too. This is nothing against Ryan Silverfield. He wants the Arkansas head coaching job. Glad someone does... But it just shows how disconnected Arkansas is with their own fanbase. There is literally not one single Hog fan I have seen who has expressed excitement on a day everyone was looking forward to since this started. I see angry, apathetic, sad, disbelief and laughter as a means of coping. But should it be a surprise? As I have said many times, as you all good and well know, Arkansas has the worst football program in the SEC. So these are the kinds of decisions you get. Arkansas needed to make a hire fans could rally behind, a hire that would lead to a groundswell of support, and this just is not what anybody had in mind. #wps

Arkansas fans are furious with the Ryan Silverfield hire, and its hard to blame them. Here's the sad truth: Hogs were never getting the candidate they wanted with Hunter Yurachek at AD. Its time for that entire athletic department to get a fresh start.

Not sure who we hire next, but I’m dead tired of these old ass good ‘ol boys that are better at being caricatures than they are coaches. Give me an intelligent young guy that truly knows the ends and outs. Someone that genuinely connects with players and can get 110% out of them.

A reminder that Sam Pittman has one of the most unusual buyouts in college football. If he’s .500 or above since 2021, which he is, the Razorbacks would owe him roughly $9.8 million. If he were under .500, it would be roughly $6.9 million. on3.com/news/sam-pittm…
