@ChrisBarnes3D@JackCunningham3 they may do, but at the end of their term they have an asset that, in the vast majority of cases has increased in value. Whereas renting you'll do for life and never own anything.
My boyfriend and I are planning to buy a house together after dating for 3 years.
He earns significantly more than I do, so he’d be contributing about 70% of the down payment. Because of that, he wants the house to be only in his name.
He says it’s just “fair” based on the numbers, but we’d both be living there, splitting bills, and building a life together.
I’ve been watching a lot of relationship content about equity vs equality, and it made me realize things don’t always have to be 50/50 but this feels like I’d have no security at all.
He said if we ever broke up, he’d “do the right thing,” but that doesn’t really reassure me.
My friends say don’t move in unless my name is on it. His friends apparently think I’m being entitled.
Now I feel stuck between trusting him and protecting myself.
Is this a red flag I’m trying too hard to rationalize?
@Beckysview2025@bbdbbc2@TRobinsonNewEra All the people want is to know what demographic did this - no reports of this in the msm is so damning it’s embarrassing
@TRobinsonNewEra All our community want is a description of the men. This is on my doorstep, my daughter frequently goes to that club she is also 20. It could have been her or any of her friends. We are all concerned parents with young adult children.
As a resident of Epsom with daughters & granddaughters I would have hoped that @EpsomPolice would have provided some information on the alleged gang rape at the weekend. Are residents in danger? Was the girl followed from the nightclub? What do these men look like? Did they harass others? Has there been any other incidents outside the church? Have any witnesses come forward? No comparable crime has ever happened here before. Has our MP anything to say? The silence is sparking all sorts of rumours & dangerous speculation.
@Jimmyrinse1@MartinKnight_@EpsomPolice Parents don’t stop being parents but adults are adults this woman was an adult she shouldnt need picking up from a nightclub ffs
@MartinKnight_@EpsomPolice Chaperone them everywhere and for fucks sake if they are adults pick them up outside nightclubs or pre book them a taxi
Parents don't stop being parents when your children grow up
@SandyofSuffolk Are you mental?? Put stuff in your trolley, queue up, take stuff out your trolley, put stuff in bags, put stuff back in trolley, - compared to put stuff in trolley after scanning it, pay for it, leave shop
I've never used self checkout. Ever. And I never will.
Today in Aldi, there was only one person at self checkout and people queuing to use the manned checkouts.
When will shops realise the majority of people don't want self checkouts?
@LucyTCWife It was offered routinely to Freshers, before their degrees started. I know because I administered the vaccine, as a Practice Nurse
It was given free of charge, because students are in full-time education. Every student was advised to have the Meningococcal Vac.
Has this changed?
Funny isn’t it because I’d die before I let you inject my child with a Covid or flu vaccination. Of which they have forced upon us for years. Free of charge.
But a vaccine like the MenB vaccine isn’t available on the NHS and children born before 2015 won’t have had it.
Meningitis kills and kills fast.
Make it make sense.
It's wild how society accepts leaving kids at daycare 40 hours a week just to commute to a job that funds the daycare, the car, and a house you're rarely in. We're basically grinding to pay for a life we barely get to experience.
There’s something very sad about watching the skill you spent 20 years honing become a commodity because of AI.
Makes you question your purpose in this world.
@Nithya_Shrii 56 here and start thinking why on earth do I have to do tick box excercises at work to address my year ahead and what I want to achieve in my career when all I want to focus on is how many years till I retire 😂
@_InThisTogether Utter bullshit measles kills and disables get it right. No one had measles when I was a kid we were vaccinated and im also in my mid fifties
I am in my mid 50s. I think every kid had measles when I was a child. I did, all my school mates did. It was just one of those things and no one was that fussed about it. Just sayin'.
