2/3 Like doctors, PAs & AAs will have a responsibility to clearly communicate who they are, & their role in the team. The GMC reference number has been raised in this context. We’re considering how to make it as easy as possible for anyone to identify individual registrants & to tell if they’re a doctor, PA or AA.

1/3 Late next year we’ll be welcoming physician associates and anaesthesia associates into regulation. Regulation will help to increase the contribution they can make to UK healthcare, while keeping patients safe.
